About

For producer, writer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Jackson Stell, the Big Wild project was born out of an ethos of curiosity. Inspired by the vast and wild nature of Big Sur after a revelatory trip to the coast, beauty and spirit has been the heartbeat of the project ever since. Stell's music career started in the electronic space where he gained global traction topping global viral charts along with his music appearing in major brand campaigns for the likes of Apple, The Olympics, American Eagle, etc. after his first releases and his debut album Superdream. As an artist, his main endeavor is one of evolution as his music  crosses over genres; he is not confined by preconceived notions of modern sound. He delves deeper into his emotional capacity and encourages those around him to open their eyes and do the same.

Big Wild at The Wiltern – Disappointing Performance

by Bellababe on 10/9/25The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

I’ve been a Big Wild fan for a few years after seeing him perform in Santa Rosa at the Emerald Cup. That show was full of energy, live vocals, drums, and incredible female guest performers who danced and dressed in wild 70s costumes - so fun! So when we saw he was playing at The Wiltern, we were excited. The classic theatre itself was beautiful — great acoustics, staff, and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the performance just didn’t live up to the Big Wild we had seen before. This time, it was just him on stage with a female drummer and a guitarist (maybe this is his more typical show??). He danced around, hit a few drums, and sang over his own recorded loops - one song the vocals weren’t even live. The light show was probably the best part — visually strong — but not enough to justify the ticket price or the hype. There was very little live music, no guest artists, and overall it felt flat. His voice isn’t strong enough to carry the show solo, and without the variety and collaboration that made his performances we saw so dynamic, it all felt more like watching someone play around onstage rather than creating real music. The older songs still sounded okay but the new material didn’t connect. I’m sorry to say it, but this was a letdown. If this is the new direction for live electronic shows — one person looping tracks and trying to pump up the crowd — I hope it’s not the new normal. I miss the real musicianship, collaboration, and magic that make good live music so special.

Great venue, service, and staff. No long waits or lines. Very clean. Will visit again. Great performance by the artist!

  • Time of my life 🫶✨🫶

by LuvLuv on 10/8/25The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

We paid for underground parking, and it was totally worth it in my book. Had plenty of time to get to the pit and have a drink, Big Wild is a repeat on my Spotify so for me I had the time of my life ✨🫶✨ thank you

  • Right Artist, Wrong Venue

by Ian on 10/8/25The Sound - Del MarRating: 2 out of 5

Big Wild is great. Having to pay for parking and not be able to see because the venue can't handle anything more than a small crowd is not.

  • BREATHTAKING

by Hayhay on 10/7/25The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen hundreds of artists, and MANY shows. From edm to everything else. This show by FAR topped every show I have ever seen. Big Wild had such amazing stage presence, involved the crowd, the stage production was gorgeous, the music was visceral. The venue was gorgeous. The BEST show handsdown that I have ever witnessed.

  • The best show I saw in 2025!

by Richard on 9/24/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I loved everything about the show! The Salt Shed was an incredible venue! Chicago is always a great place to see music, but this night was hands down, full of great energy. Everybody seemed so happy, giving him fives on the way out!

  • Absolutely spectacular

Big Wild arranged all of the hits into a high-energy dance party, brought to life with live instruments and incredible showmanship. It was a beautiful, wild ride. As always, Big Wild never disappoints.
