About

BETTER THAN EZRA IN CONCERT:

New Orleans' hometown heroes Better Than Ezra dominated '90s airwaves with a string of ubiquitous, fuzzed-out alt-rock hits like "Good" and "Desperately Wanting." The band's poppy, sing-along anthems came to define the sound of a generation, making each live show something of a reunion for their devoted fans. The elation was palpable at their 2013 shows, and with a new album due out in summer 2014, Better than Ezra will be delivering bigger than ever on their 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed by four Louisiana State University students in the late '80s, Better Than Ezra cut its teeth performing at fraternities and house parties before going on to generate buzz with their cassette-only demos. After self-releasing 1993's Deluxe, the band landed a deal with Elektra Records, who reissued the album in 1995. The record was an overnight sensation upon its re-release, spawning hits like "Good" and "Rosealia" and going on to achieve platinum certification from the RIAA. Five more albums of infectious alt-rock would follow, setting the stage for a highly anticipated new album in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Great show! Ezra never disappoints! They are amazingly talented and have fun performing so that makes it so great!"

"Great show! Perfect blend of old and new, humor and covers...crowd ranged from early 20s to 50s and all seemed to have a great time!"

"BTE does such a fantastic job of providing a unique show... They always have new musicians backing up or guests who make each show unforgettable in its own way."

  • Entertaining! Fantastic! Satisfying!

by Terry on 4/30/25Fillmore New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

One of the most entertaining concerts I have seen. Pleasantly surprised and much more than I expected from a band I used to listen to 30 years ago. I will see them again and again. Genuine guys and it shows.

  • 30 years and BTEs impact is undeniable

by Mer3Taylor on 4/29/25Fillmore New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

1995 was a monumental year for music, and now 30 years later BTE’s impact is still undeniable. This show celebrating 30 years of their Deluxe album was sold out! I have seen these guys perform live 30 plus times and will continue to attend their live performances. I never like to miss them. The Fillmore New Orleans is one of my fave music venues in the state…the quality of sound achieved was phenomenal. What a great live music experience!

  • Best Band Ever!

by FitzyJerseygirl on 2/24/25Music Box at the Borgata - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

These guys never disappoint! They’ve been rocking for over 35 years and don’t miss a beat. They always entertain their fans and are very personable and down to earth. They are doing what they love and that always translates to the audience! Great band… great seats… great night ✌🏻

  • FANTASTIC FRONT ROW

by AmyJ on 2/24/25Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was general admission, and we got to the Lincoln (a great venue) shortly after the doors open. To our surprise, there were a number of seats available in the first two rows (they put out folding chairs), including two in the center of the first row. The band sounded fresh and they were energetic. The songs are just as good, and their new music is equally fun.

  • BTE better than ever!

by LindaMac on 2/24/25Music Box at the Borgata - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Outstanding concert—Fantastic audience interaction, band in total sync musically and “mentally!” Always a joy when BTE is onstage. They obviously love what they do and have aged masterfully!

Best part of the evening was BTE's interaction with the audience. It felt like they were jamming for friends. Loved it.

  • Bucket List Checkoff

by EddieMike on 2/23/25Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

BTE was everything I hoped for. Fantastic show, fantastic venue. Have been a long time fan, since their beginning, and this was my first time being able to see to see them. So it fulfilled a bucket list item. Not only are they all great musicians in their own right, the chemistry and tightness of the band is very apparent. Kevin is a great leader and provides a great dialogue along with being a terrific showman. My only disappointment, and this is purely personal and by no means a reflection on the band, was they didn’t play more from “Deluxe” and “Friction Baby”. But of course when your career spans decades, you can’t get to everything. Looking forward to being able to seeing them again real soon.

  • Always entertaining

Another great show from BTE. They have a fun stage presence and are fantastic musicians. Played music from across their catalog. You can see they are having fun. Will definitely see them again.

  • Freakin' Fantastic!

by Jer @ SBS on 12/11/24M Resort Spa Casino - HendersonRating: 5 out of 5

Alright...so...the long & the short is that I actually planned an entire anniversary trip to Vegas around this very show...and I am SO HAPPY that I did that! Better Than Ezra was so incredibly entertaining & extremely genuine when playing their set - and they have an incredible sense of humor & humbleness combined at this stage of their career. Truly an incredible experience we won't forget. From their original tunes that made us all fans long ago, to the way they mix things up with a whole variety of covers you'd never expect them to play - they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Do not miss this band if they come your way!!!

Should be in a better venue. Play more of your past hit songs. Relax with the strobe lights. My girlfriend had to go outside due to excessive strobe lights.
