About

BETTER THAN EZRA IN CONCERT:

New Orleans' hometown heroes Better Than Ezra dominated '90s airwaves with a string of ubiquitous, fuzzed-out alt-rock hits like "Good" and "Desperately Wanting." The band's poppy, sing-along anthems came to define the sound of a generation, making each live show something of a reunion for their devoted fans. The elation was palpable at their 2013 shows, and with a new album due out in summer 2014, Better than Ezra will be delivering bigger than ever on their 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed by four Louisiana State University students in the late '80s, Better Than Ezra cut its teeth performing at fraternities and house parties before going on to generate buzz with their cassette-only demos. After self-releasing 1993's Deluxe, the band landed a deal with Elektra Records, who reissued the album in 1995. The record was an overnight sensation upon its re-release, spawning hits like "Good" and "Rosealia" and going on to achieve platinum certification from the RIAA. Five more albums of infectious alt-rock would follow, setting the stage for a highly anticipated new album in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Great show! Ezra never disappoints! They are amazingly talented and have fun performing so that makes it so great!"

"Great show! Perfect blend of old and new, humor and covers...crowd ranged from early 20s to 50s and all seemed to have a great time!"

"BTE does such a fantastic job of providing a unique show... They always have new musicians backing up or guests who make each show unforgettable in its own way."

  • Pure fun!

Better Than Ezra rocked the Bottle & Cork in Dewey, Delaware. The place only holds ~500, all standing, and it was a great night of music. The opening act, 16 Frames, was decent - a good opening act. BTE played 2 hours solid, and it was like a big party. I've been waning to see them for a long time and they did not disappoint - great show.

  • awesome as always

i was glad to see these guys having such a good time on stage... so refreshing. lets be honest - they could perform anything and it would be entertaining. we did hear some lady gaga last night, didn't we?

Better than Ezra was great - they did a great job mixing their classic hits with songs off the new album. The opening band - 16 Frames - was forgettable.

  • Better Than Ezra just keeps getting better!

This may be the 4th or 5th time that I have see them but it was just as amazing if not more so. It is the combination of the way their songs sound live (unforgettable) and their stage presence. They are clearly having a good time and there to put on the best possible show.

  • NorVA 7/11

BTE continues to impress me as the "boys next door" how actually learned to play their instruments. They were tight, all 4 four members on stage seemed as if they could read the others mind. They did a few impromptu songs as always plus a gift to those who may have missed the Cheap Trick (not the other two on the same bill) show also in town with a awesome cover of Surrender. If you're a BTE have or just someone who wants a FUN night of good old rock and roll. This is the affordable tour of the summer.

I bought the tickets for my boyfriend who is a fan. I think I know 3 or 4 of their songs. Show was great, crowd was great. Good stuff. Loved the cover of Let My Love Open the Door.

Better Than Ezra put on an amazing show last night! The last time I saw them was about ten years ago at the 9:30 Club in D.C., and I'm gonna have to say, that BTE is one of the best bands to see at a small venue! As for the bottle and cork, the place is a dump, and has the worst parking ever! I'm sure I'd go back though.
