Saw Ben in Chicago- awesome show there This show was the top 5 of all shows I’ve seen!! Right up there with the Rollong Stones and Prince!!
As usual Ben Harper is the man and Charlie Musselwhite was a treat. And as usualy the Ryaman offers a vibe like no other venue in the World
The Ryman is an awesome venue with so much history, and Ben Harper always puts on a good show, and I can see why Charlie Musselwhite is so revered as a blues harmonica player.
This concert was a spiritual experience. Amazing venue for an amazing concert. Ben and Charlie are so passionate. An honor to witness.
The Ryman Auditorium is the Church of Americana Music. People who Revere Music attend this church to see the very best artists. Harper and Musselwhite made the cut and then proved themselves worthy with standing O’s from the first song. Historic.
I’ve seen Ben at least 10 times, but never with Charlie Musslewhite. TBH, I only listened to their 2 albums a couple times. But Ben never disappoints and with Charlie it was magic. The music and energy was incredible!!! I would see them again tomorrow. Don’t miss!
The entire performance was wonderful. Great songs. Great music. We really enjoyed the entire performance.
The venue was beautiful and the sound was spectacular
I didn't know even one of these songs, so I got to fall in love for the very first time. Charlie and Ben are an amazing duo and they played a fantastic set. On top of all that, March was affordable and fantastic. 17,000,000 thumbs up.
What a duo! So much heart and soul in an amazing and intimate venue. I want to see them again!
Amazing artists. Great venue and day to watch them perform
Concert started 20 minutes late which is not good and it was windy and chilly and even rained a bit. Then there were the technical problems with the sound that shut it all down for about 30 minutes. BUT when the music was playing, the band was wonderful and the music a joy. Really appreciated Ben calling out the idiot who harassed him, people can't be jerks just because they've had too much wine or think they know more than the artist.
We came because my husband loves the Ben Harper from several years ago. And at the concert we enjoyed Charlie Musselwhite very much, and basically tuned out Ben Harper, and didn't even realize that was Ben Harper because he has changed so much.
Music was just ok for me. Definitely was disjointed in several spots. Not as clean as I thought it should be. Really just mediocre. And, I think Ben should keep his political feelings to himself. Didn’t pay for his opinion, just music. He could have said so many other things that were uniting in their message other than alienating a segment of his audience. Wouldn’t pay to see him again..
It was music to my ears until the sound system kept breaking up.
There were several problems with the sound system. I wanted to hear more of the old blues standards and Charlie singing more. Venue served only wine. I wish there could have been beer also.
The Maryhill Winery was the perfect venue for the Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite concert. This was one of the best concerts I’ve ever attended.
The show started out great, but about half way through, the sound system was cutting out and the band had to take about a 30 minute break to get it sorted out. Then, at the end of the show Ben Harper berated someone for asking him to play one of his guitars. He basically said that no one tells him what to play and will kick him out if he shows up to any of his gigs again. There was some profanity used as well. My wife and I were astonished because the person asking was obviously a big fan and got yelled at in front of the whole audience. Very unprofessional of Ben Harper and unacceptable. I’ll never go to one of his gigs again. As far as Charlie Musselwhite and the rest of the band, they were great and I’d see them again. Forget Ben Harper.
Although it was really windy and some of the speakers cut out for a bit, the show was awesome! Loved the venue, too.
We spent a lot of money to come to this show, money for a good music talent, a nice venue on a nice evening. We did not pay to hear a smart mouthed attack on our President and my political champion. This artist ruined the evening with his politics, and now I will dispute the credit card charges for 4 tickets
