    The production of Beautiful, the Carole King Musical was awesome. The talent was evident with every performer and the music was spot on. I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable evening. The renovated venue of the Raising Cane's River Center Theater was spectacular and perfect for this production.

    Start to finish we loved it. Music was great, the sound, lighting, actors and actresses were spot on. Would definitely see is again.

    As an old man, I experienced the real time radio experience of these songs. The lead did a good job of channeling King. The mother’s character was hackneyed but those around me enjoyed. Filed under “Not So Much” 1. The Ritechus Bros. 2. The young geek singing “We Gotta Get Outta This Place”. I know how he feels. BUT the wife and I had a date, so OK.

    Saw Beautiful in NYC and now in Baton Rouge. Both equally as good and I love the music of Carole King so this is a no brainer. Tapestry is the best album ever!! A girl from the 70's lol . Who knew how many songs that Carole King wrote the music for and the lyrics. WOW!! Her life story is full of music and this play ROCKS!! love it!!

    These historical shows about popular singers and entertainers are always so much fun. “Beautiful” is no exception! We all know how prolific a songwriter Carol King was, but to see just how her career blossomed was truly interesting. And all of the hits, performed by the great groups of the past, combined with her personal story was really compelling. If you’re a fan of Carol King or just great rock music from the 60’s on, you won’t want to miss “Beautiful”.

    The musical was great. But the place was so hot. Everyone was complaining. You would think with Covid it would be cool inside. No !!! It was so hot !

    The seats in the front of the balcony were HORRIBLY uncomfortable. Will never do that again. Absolutely no leg or knee room.
