About Beatles vs. Stones

Beatles vs. Stones on Tour

It’s the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll riddle. Who was the greatest band of the ‘60s: the lovable moptops from Liverpool or the bad boys from London? The Beatles vs. Stones live revue doesn’t purport to provide a definite answer, but it will present two equally convincing cases, as two tribute bands square off in a British Invasion battle royale. Playing the role of The Beatles is Abbey Road, who re-create the Fab Four’s most iconic looks - from the well-dressed lads seen on The Ed Sullivan Show to the psychedelic circus showmen in Sgt. Pepper uniforms - as they take you on a magical musical tour through one of rock’s most revered repertories. And representing the Stones side is tribute act Satisfaction (aka The International Rolling Stones Show), whose uncannily Jaggeresque frontman, Chris LeGrand, peacocks his way through the band’s myriad eras, up into the ‘80s. The two bands each perform three alternating sets, trading some cheeky trash talk along the way. But despite their legendary rivalry, The Beatles and Rolling Stones were actually good friends in real life, and in that spirit, this musical showdown comes to a peacefully rousing conclusion. The two groups join forces at the end for a joint jam, thereby answering the question, What would Lennon and McCartney sound like belting out the chorus to “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”?

Beatles vs. Stones Background

Though its members did make a small handful of TV appearances and recordings together, The Beatles and Rolling Stones never actually performed on the same concert bill before the Fab Four retired from the road in 1966. So in 2011, The Beatles vs. Stones tribute show was launched in Los Angeles to retroactively rectify that situation by bringing together the world’s premier Beatles and Rolling Stones tribute acts on one stage - Abbey Road and Satisfaction. Since then, the show has toured across America and around the world, while hosting residencies at Harrah’s casinos in Reno and Laughlin, Nevada.

Small venue: Beatles started the show. Played many of the old hits.Kinda looked like the Fabulous Four. Stones came on second. Kinda looked like the Stones. All costumes were a little cheesy, but the boys did a great job of mimicking the two bands. Got the crowd going with their antics. Did a final combination of both bands singing together. We had a great time!!

  • So much fun

The crowd had so much fun. The Beatles music was better and clearer. The “Mick” musician was impressive with his Mick like movements. We would return to see them again!

  • Great nostalgia trip

by JohnWbanjo on 2/23/25Showroom at Talking Stick Resort - ScottsdaleRating: 4 out of 5

Lots of fun. The people portraying John Lennon and Keith Richards were spot on, and “Paul McCartney” sounded very authentic. “George Harrison”’s singing voice was pitched a little too high. If the stage had been bigger there would have been even more room for “Mick Jagger” to dance but his other mannerisms were perfect. The show was less than two hours, which was probably smart given the average age of the attendees was likely over 60, but I (and I’m 60) could have gone longer.

  • Battle of the bands

  • Good Show

by donb on 11/18/24Caesars Event Center at Caesars Southern Indiana - ElizabethRating: 4 out of 5

The music from both groups was very good. The Beatles had better vocals and backup vocals since they had three singers. Mick's vocals were good but sometimes drowned out by the music and their backup vocals were weak. The show was cut short by one set where the Beatles usually cover Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road and Let it be and the Stones from the same period.

  • Great show

A lot of talent in both groups. Played the songs everyone knew. The crowd was very interactive. We had a great time.

  • Fab(4)ulous and Pure Satisfaction

by Elaine in Oregon on 11/1/24Cactus Petes Resort Casino Gala Showroom - JackpotRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was excellent! It was split into sections with the Beatles going first with their early years music, then the Stones did the same. From there, they moved to late 60s. At the end, they played together. The guy doing Ron Wood looked just like the real one. The only thing I noticed was a hum coming from one of the amps on stage. Our seats were right next to the stage. If you get a chance to see this act, I highly recommend it.

  • Beatles VS Stones.

by Susie Q on 10/31/24Cactus Petes Resort Casino Gala Showroom - JackpotRating: 5 out of 5

Easy peasy admittance on my phone to get into concert. It was wonderful. One of the best ever. It was hard to believe that they were not the real deal. Some band members looked so much like the real groups. The drummers were fantastic and all the other musicians as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It brought back so many memories. It was and still is our music. Bravo.

  • Beatles and Stones music performed well

by TrekkerTed on 7/24/24Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - BowRating: 4 out of 5

The two bands who covered the two most iconic British bands from the sixties did not disappoint. Wearing costumes, which they changed backstage as the other band played, the musicians covered the favorite songs of generations with skill. The only complaint is that the small chairs for seats were squeezed tightly together so that bigger people had to space themselves out using two chairs in spots. Mildly uncomfortable.

  • It was good.

I ll go and watch them again. I ll bring my family and friends for the next one. Hope I can go to another one

  • Awesome

We loved this act. I am a big Beatle fan but both groups were great. The only complaint I have is we were sitting by the exit and it was cold. They were too many people coming in and out while the show was on, mostly getting alcohol. .

  • Simply fabulous!
