About Beatles vs. Stones

Beatles vs. Stones on Tour

It’s the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll riddle. Who was the greatest band of the ‘60s: the lovable moptops from Liverpool or the bad boys from London? The Beatles vs. Stones live revue doesn’t purport to provide a definite answer, but it will present two equally convincing cases, as two tribute bands square off in a British Invasion battle royale. Playing the role of The Beatles is Abbey Road, who re-create the Fab Four’s most iconic looks - from the well-dressed lads seen on The Ed Sullivan Show to the psychedelic circus showmen in Sgt. Pepper uniforms - as they take you on a magical musical tour through one of rock’s most revered repertories. And representing the Stones side is tribute act Satisfaction (aka The International Rolling Stones Show), whose uncannily Jaggeresque frontman, Chris LeGrand, peacocks his way through the band’s myriad eras, up into the ‘80s. The two bands each perform three alternating sets, trading some cheeky trash talk along the way. But despite their legendary rivalry, The Beatles and Rolling Stones were actually good friends in real life, and in that spirit, this musical showdown comes to a peacefully rousing conclusion. The two groups join forces at the end for a joint jam, thereby answering the question, What would Lennon and McCartney sound like belting out the chorus to “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”?

Beatles vs. Stones Background

Though its members did make a small handful of TV appearances and recordings together, The Beatles and Rolling Stones never actually performed on the same concert bill before the Fab Four retired from the road in 1966. So in 2011, The Beatles vs. Stones tribute show was launched in Los Angeles to retroactively rectify that situation by bringing together the world’s premier Beatles and Rolling Stones tribute acts on one stage - Abbey Road and Satisfaction. Since then, the show has toured across America and around the world, while hosting residencies at Harrah’s casinos in Reno and Laughlin, Nevada.

  • The show was not what I expected.

by Queenie on 6/3/25The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - MemphisRating: 2 out of 5

The groups were not very good. I thought they would sound more like the Beatles and Rolling Stones. Can't believe we paid that much for tickets.

Just kept getting better with every set. It’s hard to decide which band won the battle.

Beatles vs Stones - good concept, excellent musicians- Only the Fab Four can imitate the Beatles but this group was good. As for the Stones not quite Mick Jagger but the songs sounded good

  • Good Try

by Elizabeth on 5/13/25Hard Rock Live Sacramento - WheatlandRating: 4 out of 5

Though I love America, I didn't care much for the concert and we left early. The one original band member seemed more at home riffing with the younger guitarists than performing America hits. We paid premium prices for our seats that were ADA but they were off to the far left and behind a curtain where we could read rica instead of America. This was 2nd row! Ugh. I don't think concerts are worth it.

  • Fantastic Concert!!!

Price of ticket was reasonable. Music by these two cover bands was loud and rockin. Brought me back to my youth and playing these tunes with my own band.

Beatles vs the Stones, what a fun show!! The bands are solid, music is spot on and their attention to detail is so good. Seen this show more than once and would definitely see it again!

  • Great venue.

by Red on 4/28/25Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - LedyardRating: 4 out of 5

Foxwood is amazing! The casinos, restaurants, and shopping; just wow! The show was alittle short for the distance that I traveled to get there to see the showdown between The Beatles and the Rolling Stones. However both cover bands did a great job covering the songs that they chose to play and sing. I would definitely go back to Foxwood.

  • not the best :(

by music fan on 4/28/25Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - LedyardRating: 2 out of 5

The first set was good but there was NO mixing board and the second set the Bass was Blaring. To the point that it was drawing out the keyboards and the drums ! The musicians were alright but not as tight as one would hope for a performance at Foxwoods. The final set with both bands on stage was decent and saved the show somewhat. Unfortunately I rate this show 6 out of 10.

  • Stones could have been much better.

by Ann on 4/28/25Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino - LedyardRating: 4 out of 5

Beatles were excellent. Their singing and music were right on perfect! Stones singing and music were out of sync. We love the Stones music, some songs I hardly recognized... Jumping Jack Flash was a good example of that. I did not get excited and sing along like with the Beatles. I was disappointed with the Rolling Stones performance.

This was the second show in a month that we’ve gone to see at the great Cedar showroom at Foxwoods. It’s very comfortable and the sound is excellent. Both bands, the Rolling Stones cover band and the Beatles cover band were both amazing.
