I don't know how you fit that big of a voice and that much talent into such a tiny package, but Natasha Khan is the real deal. She and her band, multi-instrumentalists all, filled the Varsity Theater with glorious noise. The concert was a perfect mix of intimate, emotional moments and outsize fairy-glen rock-and-roll pageantry. Between songs, Ms. Khan was humble and almost shy, somewhat taken aback by the thunderous applause, howls, whistles, and shouts of "thank you" and "I love you!"
The only thing better than a band playing a perfect concert is experiencing it with a crowd of people who are sending that energy right back to the band. We were all in Bat For Lashes' world for the night, would have stayed there for hours longer if we could.
