About

BASTILLE IN CONCERT:

Fans lucky enough to catch Bastille on their 2013/14 world tour can count their lucky stars —as one of the fastest rising groups in British music, the band's days of performing in smaller venues are certainly numbered. Boasting good looks and a winning blend of indie rock, hip hop, and synthpop, the four chaps from London have a knack for connecting with audiences at their carousing live concerts, entering the crowd to mingle with adoring fans and pose for the occasional mid-set photo op. With a string of highly anticipated US tour dates and a Coachella appearance in 2014, Bastille are well on their way to storming the American mainstream.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Bastille formed around the solo project of singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who shares his birthday with France's historic Bastille Day. The band's 2010 debut single "Flaws" was an underground hit, leading to a 2012 deal with Virgin records that resulted in the band's 2013 debut LP Bad Blood. The album peaked at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and spawned six singles, including the international No. 1 "Pompeii." A reissue and remix version of the album in late 2013 drummed up anticipation for the band's 2014 world tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"The energy was incredible and the crowd and venue great. Dan came out into the crowd during his signature Flaws performance which was truly an experience."

"Bastille is amazing live! Dan is a true talent and mastermind! Kyle killed it on keyboard, Woody was awesome on drums, and Will rocked on the bass."

"The whole band rocked the house and performed all of their best songs off of their album Bad Blood in front of a sold out crowd who was jamming and singing along."

  • A huge band in an small venue!

    by Old Guy on 5/27/23Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

I’m not quite sure by they were playing at the Rialto Theater, in Tucson, Arizona, probably the smallest venue that Tucson has to offer, but whatever the reason. Thank God, I had tickets to see them. It was an amazing show. They used their multi level stage as a punctuation to each song. I couldn’t have been happier with the set that covered all of the songs I wanted to hear and more. The energy just rolled off the stage as the crowd absorbed it, as water to a dry sponge. If you have an opportunity to see them, please for your own sake, don’t pass it up.

  • Epic Performance!

The venue was the perfect size. The acoustic was great. Standing on the arena was great, not too many people and comfortable. I love this band so much!

I’ve seen Bastille over 10 times, and seeing them in-person will never get old. I love them and they always put on an amazing show. I will be back at another concert for them!

  • Fabulous, Fantastic, Phenomenal in Philly

by LM on 6/19/22The Met Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 5th time seeing Bastille, the 2nd at The Met and they never disappoint. Because of the pandemic I haven't been to any events since 2019, but I couldn't pass up my favorite band. What an spectacular show, great theme. Loved the use of the chaise lounge on stage. Special mention to Bim, she is absolutely amazing and I loved the performance chemistry she had with Dan on stage. Couldn't take my eyes off of them. It was a great evening and worth the exhaustion from the late night when I had to get up for work the next day.

  • Great performance

Performing comes so natural to these guys. The quality of the music is awesome and these guys just have fun out there. At the end of the show, the crowd is totally into the concert. If you like rock, this is a must see.

  • Third time, can’t wait for FUTURE shows

by Mama Lesa on 6/18/22Rating: 4 out of 5

I saw Bastille accidentally in 2014 at a music festival and have been a fan ever since. The music translates so well into live performance. I wasn’t familiar with this album at all but, honestly, they could perform Three Blind Mice and it would probably still be a great show. Dan Smith has so much energy and a way of energizing the entire crowd. You can’t help but be jumping up and down with him. I was in the pit at the Met in Philadelphia with my 17 year old son (also a huge fan) and we both can’t wait to see them again.

Great music and venue. Worth the effort in person and nice three screen videos for seats in back. Look great.

  • Bastille 2022

    by Elvis522 on 6/17/22Roxian Theatre - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

Great band horrible venue. Not a fan of venues that allow / sell liquor in the seating area. I go to see the band and experience their music. I do not go to see a bunch of loud obnoxious drunks. If I wanted to do that, I would go to a sporting event.

  • Give me the Future

    by S. T. on 6/16/22Rating: 5 out of 5

This was the second concert I saw and again I was in awe of Bastille. These guys are amazing. They sound better live than their records and they sound amazing in all four albums! They put on such a show and get the crowd pumped. It’s awesome to see them up there having a good time and doing what they love.

  • Their music made me feel some sort of way.

by Hazel on 6/15/22Roxian Theatre - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

They sound just like they do onn the radio, even better! They are so in tune with each other and put on great show with wonderful energy. The different emotions their music evokes within me is incredible. Their music really made feel some sort of way and am truly grateful for the beautiful music they create together.

The show was amazing! I have seen them before and would go again. The combination of music and visual art is amazing. Lots of energy! Would recommend!

  • Best. Show. Ever!!

by Ally on 6/14/22Roxian Theatre - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

What an absolutely AMAZING experience! Seeing Bastille - who usually sell out Stage AE, a 5,500 capacity venue - at such a small and intimate show (1,400 capacity!) was an absolute dream. Not only did they put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, but they made every single person there feel like they were a special part of the gig and made it so enjoyable. The venue staff were incredible; they were so kind, caring, and helpful that I will most certainly be looking out for shows there specifically just to continue to experience such great customer service! Do yourself a huge favor and make sure to get tickets next time Bastille come to town, you do NOT want to miss this!

  • Great Show, Great Venue!

by Nick on 6/14/22Roxian Theatre - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

The show was fantastic, and the music was great! The venue was very nice and clean. Drinks were a little pricey, but definitely worth it!
