It was a fantastic show - one of the best shows I've ever been to. They were funny, played a great choice of songs and sounded excellent!
It is rare to see an "opening act" show up the main event, but Ingrid Michaelson once again proved to me that she is a truly fantastic live performer. BNL is definitely back and rocking, but if you ever get a chance to see Ingrid Michaelson perform live, take it. In a heartbeat. Her sound is unlike anything you will hear live anywhere else.
The show was phenomenal. If you're worried about how they will do it without Steve, stop worrying right now. The boys are better than ever and you can tell they really enjoy and love what they do. The banter and ad-libs were hilarious as always, and they played a healthy mix of songs from most (if not all) of their albums. I highly recommend if you are a fan of the Ladies. Opener Ingrid Michaelson was also great! Great music AND a hearty dose of improv humor. Partial set list (I can't remember them all) in no particular order listed separately for those of you who are curious.
Not the same without Steven Page, but still entertaining. No Brian Wilson.
Loved it! I was worried about whether or not I'd like them withougt Stephen Paige, but they were great! And Ingred Michaelson was amazing! Great show!
BNL once again put on a great show. From their side songs about the North Market, Cap City Diner, & Meatloaf to their current album it was a must see.
I had heard that BNL was a really fun group to see in concert. It wasn't too bad...but I was expecting more. I always heard that they get everyone involved in their concerts, singing known songs. I understand they are touring to promote their new album, but incorporating more older songs would've made the concert more enjoyable. looking around and seeing people just standing, not really singing along is not what i expected.
This was my 8th time seeing Barenaked Ladies and they were awesome as ever! For those of you who were worried about what the band would be like with Steve gone, not to worry! BNL put on an awesome show and played old songs as well as new ones! They are STILL the same BNL!
This show was amazing the guys are GREAT and what great voices!
I have been a BNL fan for over 10 years and never miss a chance to see them when they are in Columbus. I must admit that I didn't know what to expect from the group without Stephen. I was NOT disappointed. They rocked as usual and put on a great show playing a few new tunes, but also playing a ton of classics! They even played million dollars! :)
BNL conert is entertaining, full of surprises. They can not only sing, but they are pretty funny. Time flied! We would like to catch them again when they come back around east coast.
BNL was amazing, as always. I happily made the three hour drive to Atlantic City, and of course it was worth it. I must admit I had my doubts going into it, wondering how they would address Steven Page's absence from the band, however Ed, Jim, Kevin, and Tyler proved they have the talent and ability to continue to perform as a cohesive group. They played an excellent mix of songs including songs from the new album, old favorites, and a few that haven't made an appearance in a while.
This concert was one of the best I have ever seen!! The Barenaked Ladies put on one of the most energetic, jam packed, visually pleasing shows I have experienced! The pre-show was great with Ingrid Michaelson. BNL started their set with a crowd pleaser and didn't stop pleasing the crowd until they left the stage. They sang songs from all their cd's including their latest one. A local guitar player was brought on stage to play with them which really brought the crowd to their feet. They even donated a portion of their proceeds to help with the local relief fund in Nashville. There aren't enough adjectives to describe this concert!! Everyone got their money's worth and more!!!
I had never been to the Tropicana before. My seats were off to the far side of the stage and it was a little difficult to see the show. But...I, of course, could still hear them. The band was wonderful. They really know how to put on a show. It was only my second time seeing them in concert, and I will definitely be seeing them again.
My wife and I had such a great time! Every show is a unique experience.
We paid for the VIP option, and we had a great time. We had great seats for the show, and the guys in the band were really cool during the meet and greet. And best of all, the show was FANTASTIC! I was a little worried about the lack of Steven Page, but the band was awesome. They played over 2 hours, and they did 7 songs off their new CD. They performed a lot of older material, including Steven's songs, and they sounded fine. BNL really rocked and entertained us well. They even worked in a bunch of Nashville-specific stuff. This was one of the best shows I've ever seen.
After seeing the band twice before, I was sooo ready for this time. I will warn you, it is A LOT different without Steve. Not bad, just different. I found myself waiting and waiting for that "Wow" that I had seen before. Even the faster songs just seemed to drag. They had always leaned on their vocals, but now they have to break up the band to do solo songs, not as great. All in all, Vanilla.
The show was good and they are very talented however, without the voice of the old band, it isn't the same. I think they need to rename themselves and move on as a new band.
Friggin awesome!!! I saw BNL in Nashville when they were at Starwood around 98-99 "Stunt" tour. They still rock! ^_^
Always a great show. It's different every time I see them and the show is tailored to the city and the crowd.
