About

Barenaked Ladies are a popular Canadian rock band that hit it big in the U.S. with their 1998  Billboard Hot 100 No.1 hit single “One Week.” With their eclectic blend of witty lyrics, pop harmonies and melodic folk, the band was already charting in Canada in 1992 with singles like “Be My Yoko Ono,” “If I Had $1000000” and “Brian Wilson.” It was their fourth studio album, Stunt (1998), that turned them into a global sensation behind “One Week.” The album also peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Barenaked Ladies would go on to sell 15 million albums worldwide and pen the iconic theme song for award-winning television sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Since 2012, the Canadian rockers have toured their Last Summer on Earth tour. The tour has featured bands like Gin Blossoms, Blues Traveler, Ben Folds Five, Violent Femmes, KT Tunstall and many others. The quartet was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2018.

    Quirky music

by Flippernipper on 12/31/09Hard Rock Live - Biloxi

Excellent show. Though I was not a fan before, I am now. I took my wife to the show and really wasn't expecting much. To see these musicians taking turns playing different instruments really blew me away.

    Barenaked still awesome

by FRod on 12/21/09Hard Rock Live - Biloxi

My wife and I saw then 5 years ago in Gwinnett, GA and were static when we heard they were coming closer to home. We are big fans, but were not aware Steven Page had left the band until 2 days before the concert - we even contemplated not going, since many times the remaining members of a band just can't pull it off the same way as before - but decided to go and try to enjoy. Enjoy we did...these guys still rock, and have a great time doing it. Although it was a much different atmosphere (smaller venue, not as enthusiastic crowd) we had a great time with their new songs and jammed hard with the old favorites -we definitely recommend, and would see them again, but they are not the same as before...we miss Steven, but still love the Ladies!!!!!!

It was a very good show. This being the final show of the year, i was a little disappointed that it was only an hour and a half long WITH two encores.

    Barenaked Ladies in Mississippi

by twobad4u on 12/20/09Hard Rock Live - Biloxi

A great band at a great venue! The four piece iteration was as entertaining as if it had been the original five. Hell has frozen over, the New Orleans Saints ended their winning streak and BNL ended their 2009 tour on the same night. It was great to see the band mates swapping instruments and positions on stage. Hard Rock Live is a first class facility. I plan on seeing BNL again next year and catching more shows at HRL in Biloxi.

    barenaked ladies

by justforfun on 12/20/09Hard Rock Live - Biloxi

the show was teriffic, sound awesome. my only complaint, and it is consistent with all "casino" shows is that the bands play for an hour fifteen at most. they come back with a short encore. and then it is over. we paid eighty per person for the show. this is too high a price for such a short show. we won't be going to casinos for music anymore. it's a shame that the entertainers play these venues. we are very "spoiled" because we are regulars at N.O. jazz fest. we get soooo much more for our money at the fest.

I have seen them before and they just weren't as good without Steve. I guess they are still trying to find their new identity.

BNL in Primm, NV. Stateline Baby!

by devobabe on 10/11/09Star Of The Desert Arena at Primm Valley Resorts - Primm

made the drive across the desert to see BNL at Primm. the sound was GREAT in the arena. ed worked 3 different mics spread across the stage. never once thought "this is a steve song". it all just worked. they are "BNL" songs. this was my 38th show (i think). concert life slows when you get married and have a little baby. ed did a quick meet-n... Read More-greet after the show. (TY ED!) they sang a good variety with heavy STUNT songs. i was especially happy with "Life, in a Nutshell." wore my Rock Spectacle T-Shirt (an oldie!) the show reminded me of earlier BNL shows. the jazzy "Blame It On Me" was a major highlight/moment. jim was playing all over the stage too. energy was high and the overall feeling was very comfortable. nice acoustic "For You". amazing harmonies. when kevin broke out the accordian - i was hoping for "Straw Hat" ... maybe next show. They played $1000000 - hadnt heard that live for a long time. No Brian Wilson or What a Good Boy ... I think I might have missed Steve though on WAGB. so its ok. here's what they did sing (not in order though): Blame It On Me; If I Had a $1,000,000; Life, in a Nutshell; Old Apartment; One Week; Its All Been Done; Leave, Alcohol; Who Needs Sleep; Never is Enough; Too Little Too Late; Pinch Me; Go Home; Falling For the First Time; Maybe Katie; For You; Testing 1, 2, 3; Get In Line, and a couple new songs due out in march. (wow - no songs from BLAM album, hmmm.) Must be hard to a choose a set list from such a huge catalog of songs. overall: great show. (awesome seats (dead center - 7 rows back, great lighting & crystal clear sound, nice mix of old and new songs, funny improv stuff. like the old days where you can meet them after the show too. great to reconnect with the fans.) other highlights: winning at three card poker, riding the casino's "suspect maintenance" rides, and being in the middle of NOWHERE in the desert. (primm is NOT vegas.) my profile pic is the cell phone pic of me and ed. cant wait for next album and its tour. see you then! - heather

    Barenaked Ladies Primm NV 10-9-9

by 00Kanzel on 10/10/09Star Of The Desert Arena at Primm Valley Resorts - Primm

Great show!!! The band was having a great time and made it fun for the audience. My 11th BNL concert and there is something different every time. I was a little worried about how they would sound without Steven Page. There was a little something missing (mostly because I really like the songs Steven sang). The band did a great job of covering for his absence and all 4 members contributed on the vocals and harmonies. I can't wait for the new record in March 2010. Definitely a concert worth seeing. My first time at the Star of the Desert Ampitheater in Primm. Nice medium sized venue with decent acoustics. Great view from any seat.

    Fantastic Four!!!

by happy1994 on 10/10/09Star Of The Desert Arena at Primm Valley Resorts - Primm

For anyone who was scared about what the four remaining members of the Barenaked Ladies would sound like after parting ways with co-lead singer Stephen Page, have no fear!! The same fun and good time is still present with the new stream-lined band. Kevin Hearn was fabulous when he picked up the guitar. If you liked the old band, you will be just as happy with the new Fantastic Four!

    Paging Mr. Page

by TangSanJacinto on 10/10/09Star Of The Desert Arena at Primm Valley Resorts - Primm

Wow! Imagine any one of your favorite bands continuing to perform without it's lead singer and the sound that made them unique. Anyone remember Van Halen? Although, the remaining band mates are still pressing on with their talent and humor, it was just not the same without front man Steven Page. How is that solo career going Steve?
