  • Bag Raiders were great, opener not so much

    The Bag Raiders put on a great show! They were very high energy performers that the crowd responded well to. Their opener was boring and had music from a relatively different genre than the bag raiders. Bag raiders saved shooting stars, probably their most well-known song, to last, but did not disappoint.

    I only heard one song by the main act and I've never heard of the opener but they were both phanominal.

    It was really cool to see an act like Bag Raiders in a venue like BMH. You'd associate their sound with a larger or more clubby venue, but this worked really well for their sound, and the live drummer was great!

    It was my first time at Bowery Ballroom and I would definitely go back there for a show, very enjoyable small space, great sound, great feeling of bar and performance spaces. Very nice staff. Bag Raiders were amazing live. I was already so excited to see them as had kept missing them in different states but they totally blew me away with live instruments. I wish I could see them again soon!!

    So plastic plates opened for Bag Raiders. Great disco set! At the end of his set he announced he was playing drums for the Live Bag Raiders set. Holy Crap what a beautiful combination! The Music was amazing, the translation of electronic to real instruments was not lot lost in translation! The Great Scott (first time there!) was tiny intimate and easy to move around in! I could go from front of the stage to get a beer, then right back to the front of the stage! I would recommend going to this venue, and i would recommend anyone who loves The Bag Raiders to check out their live 2016 sets. Worth every penny! The doors were at 10, so we had time to enjoy Boston before dancing all night!

    I was very excited to be going and had been looking forward to this gig for months, so I was expecting a certain level of disappointment. But no - the gig was AWESOME. They played a lot of new stuff, a lot of old stuff, and hung around afterwards to catch up with their fans! I wish I could go again! Plastic Plates was also great on the opening! Although I spent a fair amount of time wishing it would just be Bag Raiders already.
