About

B2K In Concert

For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.

Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.

As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.

While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.

I was very pleased with the concert. It was so good the four hours went by so fast that I wished it was longer especially Mario, Pretty Rickey and most definetely B2K. I felt like a 16 year old girl again listening to an era of music that shaped by young adulthood! It was a total nostalgic experience and I wish I could go to another show! Well done everyone that performed!!!!

Everyone played all the hits great night. When Pretty Ricky came out the crowd went crazy! I wish B2k had more time on stage. Concert didn’t get over until 1130pm.

All of the preformers were amazing but to my surprise Chingy and The Ying Yang Twins were the highlight of my night they had the crowd rocking! Of course Pretty Ricky did not disappoint. They really know how to put on a show!!! It was worth every penny!

  • It was a good show.

It was a good show. The microphones were an issue. Which I would be mad when I'm performing my heart out and the mic don't work. Raz-B was having problems with his mic and it seems that nobody didn't fix it. But overall it was a good show.

  • Overall amazing

by AnonymousB on 3/26/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The overall concert was amazing! All the performances did their thing and I loved every minute of it! The only thing that made me upset was the chaos with the meet and greet. With some of the B2k members late and having to wait to meet them made me and my party miss out on chingy’s performance. We also loss our third row floor seats do to us being late. Plus we couldn’t really greet and talk to B2k forreal due to the time being rushed. It was literally a “hi” and “bye” type of thing and a quick picture. But besides that, I really enjoyed the overall concert! Definitely would go again for sure! Because regardless I LOVE B2K! ❤️

  • AMAZING!

    by Kturner726 on 3/26/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It was an awesome show! We had floor seats and meet and greet for B2K and loved it! The only thing is the B2K meet and greet was supposed to start at 7:15, and the show at 7:30. The members were late and caused us to miss Chingy and Bobby Vs performance. Which sucked really bad because we were really looking forward to it. But thanks to Ying Yang twins they brought Chingy back out during their time and we got to see him perform 1 song. Another amazing part of the show was MARIO!!! We got meet and greet for him too ($100 at the venue vs $75 online) and he was So nice and down to earth! So worth it! Over all One of the Best concerts I’ve been to !!! Make sure you go !! And arrive early because they start right at 730 with no opening act, it starts with Chingy!

  • Best Concert Ever

  • Please fix the sound

    by R. E. on 3/26/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 4 out of 5

This show was better than expected! Ying yang Twins has the whole place jumping and there was so much electricity! I could tell a few acts were Lip syncing. My biggest issue is that Municipal really needs to work on their sound quality. Almost every show leaves my ears ringing and the singers’ voices sound distorted and can barely hear them over the music. Yes we all want to see a great show but we would also like to have better sound quality like Bridgestone arena. Please fix your speakers!

  • LITTTTTTTT!

This show was amazinggggggggggg. I would definitely pay to see it again, no doubt about it!
