About

B2K In Concert

For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.

Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.

As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.

While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.

The entire show was wondeful. They had Ying Yang twins, Chingy, pretty Ricky, and Lloyd! It was fun and each performer did some of their solo music.

  • Lots of Energy

by Wendy on 3/27/19FedExForum - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

I LOVED the show overall! My only criticism is the acts should be reversed because the first acts Chingy and Bobby V had a lot of energy and honestly rocked the crowd better than the following acts besides B2K. Also in between Lloyd/Mario set and Mario/B2K set the stage change took too long and I think people were tired once B2K actually came out. Again overall the show was AMAZING and Id definitely go again!

  • BEST SHOW EVER

  • Honest opinion

    by T. M. on 3/27/19FedExForum - MemphisRating: 4 out of 5

B2k was ok. I think Pretty Ricky should’ve been the headliners. Definitely much more entertaining. The show overall was really good. I was surprised on the the turnout. Even the nose bleed seats were full. Lloyd was so smooth and simple but had the crowd participation at full force. The YingYang twins had the crowd the hype. It was really shocking. Chingy need to get his beat transitions together.. because it was slick horrible. BobbyV was ok.. everyone was like “ok with the stomach out” lol... Mario.. I barely knew he had those many songs.. but he was fiiiine and not that 15yr old getting his dough..

  • The concert was great! I loved the order or talents!

by Fergie on 3/27/19FedExForum - MemphisRating: 5 out of 5

The concert began on time with an amazing lineup! I definitely got to relive my younger days dancing and singing. The only part of the concert I didn’t care for was the MC.

  • Exactly what I expected

    by B king on 3/27/19FedExForum - MemphisRating: 2 out of 5

The overall show was excellent, pretty Ricky should have been the headliner.. Chingy , Mario, Bobby V, Lloyd put on an excellent show , Ying Yang twins def got the crowd hype .. but B2K seemed like more of a dressed rehearsal , no chemistry between the guys and it showed , terrible song selection and lack luster performance which only lasted about 15 minutes of them being on stage ( after delaying about 40 minutes for them to come to the stage ) so save yourself some time and avoid traffic and just leave before they come on stage .. other than B2K ( who should stay retired and broken up) the show was great

  • It WAS AMAZING

  • B2K concert/meet and greet

    by A. J. on 3/27/19FedExForum - MemphisRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was nice but I am a little upset that I had to miss the 1st two acts because of the meet and greet with B2K. If you are getting the meet and greet you WILL miss the beginning of the concert. I suggest you just purchase a regular ticket so you can see all the acts. Overall the concert was GREAT
