About

B2K In Concert

For a whirlwind two years in the early 2000s, boy band B2K held the world in their sensitive but rugged palms, creating bouncy, hip-hop–enhanced R&B with P. Diddy ("Bump, Bump, Bump") and even starring in a blockbuster dance drama (You Got Served) that showcased their lithe bodies and voices equally. Though the group split up in 2004, late 2018 brought the welcome news that Omarion, Fizz, Boog, and Raz-B are back together and ready to inspire screams and swoons around the U.S. with The Millennium Tour, a bill stacked with names who also call up the flash and flirtation of the aughts: Pretty Ricky, Chingy, Mario, Lloyd, and more.

Boys of the New Millennium, as they're officially known, began as four ambitious kids mostly from southern Los Angeles (Inglewood, Compton, Watts) brought together by industry veteran Chris Stokes, the guru behind predecessors Immature/IMx. But after B2K dropped a self-titled debut in 2002 — filled with slinky bump-n-grinders like "Gots Ta Be" and jiggy dance grooves like "Uh Huh" — it was clear they had a seductive magic all their own. Their recurring spots on the legendary, aptly named Scream tours were thrilling combinations of synchronized dance, perfect harmonies, and intimate interactions with an audience that never stopped squealing.

As their faces plastered the walls of more and more teens' bedrooms around the world, B2K worked tirelessly to please, releasing a splashy holiday collection called Santa Hooked Me Up (don't sleep on the swagged-up "Sexy Boy Christmas") and a second album, Pandemonium!, both before the dawn of 2003. The new songs expertly paired percussive production evoking Timbaland and the Neptunes with grade A songwriting by the likes of R. Kelly ("Girlfriend"). All of the boys' lyrical boasting and heartbreaking was backed up by their starring roles in and guest-studded soundtrack for 2004 flick You Got Served, which remains a cult favorite.

While B2K called it quits that same year, their talent, success, and youth ensured more to come. Lead man Omarion became a Grammy-nominated master of bedroom-oriented R&B and also joined rapper Fizz on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Boog and Raz-B have also pursued careers across music and film/TV, occasionally crossing paths with their bandmates, but few outside endeavors have stirred up as much fervor as the B2K reunion announcement.

  • Good Time...but long concert!

by Lyn on 5/16/19Amalie Arena - TampaRating: 4 out of 5

This was such an amazing experience, but the concert was so long. There were a few acts that could have been cut from the show, and we could have gotten a few more B2K songs and Pretty Ricky. Overall great experience!

I loved each performance and I must admit Ying Yang really did their thang and they were the most seasoned ones on the tour. They had the entire building lit in Jacksonville!!! Overall, everyone did great and I'm so glad I went. I gave it 4 stars because Raz B wasn't present

  • The best concert this year!!!

by Nesha on 5/15/19Amalie Arena - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

I have to tell you all I had an awesome time at the Millennium tour last Saturday. I was dancing and singing along with every performer the entire concert. They didn’t let me down not one bit. The concert tickets were well priced for the experience that had had. But I really enjoying pretty Ricky and the Ying Yang Twins the most. The only negative thing I had to say about the whole concert is the seating.... the seats were so close up on the row in front me and everyone else to where you had to keep getting up to let the person trying to get through by. That’s the ONLY bad thing I had to say about the concert. If I had leg room and arm space it would’ve been a great experience but overall this concert took me back to how I use to feel for them all in my teenage days. Y’all go buy your tickets if you haven’t already. If I could I would purchased another ticket to go to the Miami concert.

  • Great Show, Needs longer set list-we want more!

    by Posh.Piper on 5/15/19AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Member missing from show. After spending alot of money to travel and be in Miami for the show, would have been nice if everyone was there that was promised. Waited 15 years to see this group preform, what they did was great just wish their portion lasted longer.

  • Amazing

The tour as a whole was great experience. I loVVVVVVVeddddddd Pretty Ricky never disappoint me. As for B2k. it was dull and boring. For them to be the headliners and have the more popular song they put the crowd to bed, ppl even started leaving.

  • Awesome

The tour started off not too great because it was super hot but as time went on, it got colder so that was good. AAA did a great job hosting the event. Will definitely comeback to any other concert there

  • Awesome concert

    by Mia8706 on 5/15/19Amalie Arena - TampaRating: 5 out of 5

The show started ON TIME!!! That was amazing. Everyone performed all the greatest hit songs! The comedian host in between the acts was very funny and engaged audience very well. I love the fact that even though it was a crowded even that the staff of the arena worked well with the crowd management. Also traffic control in the streets surrounding the arena was amazing it was so quick and easy getting out if the parking garage and to the highway without long delays. This by far has been the BEST organized event I've EVER been to.
