Broden Reflected The Spotlight Into My Eyes With His Watch
by Jemmy on 10/22/23Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5When I initially purchased my ticket, the show was going to take place at the Neptune theater, which I've been to before and am familiar with. The show took place at the Moore theater instead, because there were too many people excited about Morning Brown and Pud for the Neptune theater to handle. It was comfortable enough, but I'm not sure if I can recommend trying to get a seat that's too close to the stage. If you're too far forward and in the middle, there are almost constantly stage lights shining directly into your face, and if one of the performers notices, they may contribute, by attempting to bounce additional lights into your face via their wristwatch.
The performance was very fun. Since I purchased a VIP ticket I got to be seated early while the Aunty Donna trio were doing their sound check and idly chatting with the other early seaters. Broden Zach and Mark are all lovely people who come across as very kind and humble outside their playfully-needling onstage characters. One example is how when they were explaining that there would be live closed-captioning available to some of the audience, they tried to find out who was doing it for them, to thank them before the show. When they found out that it was a guy in New York named Tony doing it all, they worked his name into their sketches in the performance later to mess with him. They did an excellent job of causing the whole theater to regularly erupt into uproarious laughter, and I sincerely hope to have another opportunity to see them perform live again in the future.
Oh also Mark has incredible core strength, wow
