  • Amazing Audra

by Saddlebrock on 3/23/18Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

What an extraordinary evening! We enjoyed the journey through Broadway history from the eyes and voice of Audra MacDonald. Her song selection included the familiar and some unfamiliar but always a joyous musical selection. Her band complemented her voice and enhanced the music and never overwhelmed it. Wonderful!

Amazing voice, warm and funny personality, short stories about the songs, her colleagues and family members. Concert was almost two hours and we were very well entertained. Will definitely get tickets for her next local performance.

  • Spectacular

    by LoriS17 on 3/23/18Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

Audra McDonald is a treasure. Her talent is wonderful, and she makes it all seem so effortless. She went through 100 years of songs, and captured the style of each era so well. I am so glad I went.

  • She is a first class entertainer!

Enjoyed the evening however, would have loved to hear some of Kurt Weil’s music.

  • A Golden voice

by Davidpianoman on 3/23/18Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 4 out of 5

Audra was fantastic. The quality of her voice was matched by the excellence of her performance. The only negative was the poor sound quality.

  • Audra McDonald Concert

by VanfromTucson on 3/23/18Centennial Hall - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I have attended. I could not believe the clarity of her voice and the stamina to sing for 1 1/2 hours without an intermission or a drink of water. Could have stayed and listened for another hour. She was fabulous and her assortment of songs was fabulous and interesting. She took the time to explain a lot of the background on the song writers, playwrights and singers that made the songs popular. Very entertaining. A show no one should miss.

  • Thorughly Enjoyable

  • One Tone One Note...Soprano

by Davvviee on 3/6/18Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It was like bad opera.....one loud Soprano. Proving she had and I quote her "Soprano Card".

  • Audra is a great actress and singer!

Great show of broadway tunes. Audra added her broadway acting to each song and shared how nice a person she is on stage. Special evening!

  • Overall fantastic entertainer, raconteur & singer

by fwagman on 3/6/18Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It was a wonderful evening of Broadway song, stories and her take on motherhood, music and overall life. Exceptional performance. She connects with an audience like I've not seen in a long time. Definitely go see her. As far as Cobb Energy Centre, I've never been enthralled by the organization, the service and particularly the parking. Everything poorly organized and even the portal (entry door) where the ticket pointed you to was the wrong one.

  • Audra brought it!

by DKMcCall56 on 3/6/18Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed Audra McDonald at Cobb Energy Center. Our seats up front and the pre-show reception and the meet and greet afterwards made for a thrilling experience. The Arts Bridge folks did a fine job with their hospitality.

  • Awesome Audra

by OldSchool25 on 3/6/18Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Audra McDonald does more than just deliver. There's a reason she owns a record six Tony Awards. She defines the American musical theater art form. Audra is dead-on pitch perfect. And makes it look easy while doing it. So much so that she puts the audience at complete ease. That she offers the audience specific opportunities to sing along with her is beyond engaging. It shows how much she cares to make sure everyone fully enjoys themselves. At 47, Audra is a woman in full possession of her powers and identity. And yes, she is smoking hot too!

The show was wonderful even though I didn’t know all of the songs. I’m glad I went.

  • Wonderful Concert

by LePeche on 3/6/18Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Ms. McDonald sang from the American theater songbook; many songs were from the early 20th century. All were delivered excellently. Her personality shined throughout. In each of her Broadway performances that I have seen, I felt that every gesture was spot-on. I felt the saw during this concert. She put so much significance in each motion (though she was standing at a poled microphone). She was witty and her voice is amazing. I have never seen her in concert before but would definitely try to do so again.

  • Consummate artist at peak

by NerakNJ on 5/17/17State Theatre - New BrunswickRating: 5 out of 5

Audra McDonald has no equal in her vocal quality, in her nuanced attention to lyrics, in her musicality. This concert was an amazing display of what makes her peerless amongst singers of the American songbook--to which she continues to add new young composers, a testimony to her generosity. She gives older familiar songs new depth ("Make someone happy") and makes new songs seem almost like standards ("I'll be here"). The moment at the concert's end when she removed the microphone and sang "Summertime" showed her artistry and the subtle power of her voice.

  • Audra was simply Amazing!!!

Beautiful artist, beautiful woman, awesome entertainer. I particularly liked the fact that she sang a lot of songs that are not part of the "normal" repertoire. I would definitely see her again and again.

Every minute was special. She has such an amazing voice! Very personable too. Sang songs from old and new Broadway shows and told us a little about each one.

  • Audra McDonald was "Amazing"

by Bonnielisa427 on 3/15/17Times-Union Ctr Perf Arts Jacoby Hall - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This is my 3rd time seeing Audra McDonald perform. Audra McDonald is as personable as she is professional. I didn't know what to expect the 1st time that I saw her in 2011. I then had the opportunity to see her "transform" as Billie Holiday in "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill" on Broadway in 2014. So, I knew what to expect on March 12th and she was "amazing".
