A Country Music Legend
by Glad2meetU on 8/27/09Birchmere - AlexandriaWestern swing, progressive country, whatever you want to call it, it's just good fun when musicians exhibit the love of their trade and it infectiously shows. Ray and his backup memebers delight, individually and as a group. Wish the show was longer, but as Ray commented, he also wished the hall was larger. The man deserves a documentary for sticking to his guns all these years and delivering. (Best selling albums or not, everyone can't be Willie Nelson but he's pretty close for not being too serious of a writer---hence his strength.) Wish him well with his next release "Willie and the Wheel". Before he even mentioned the collaboration I could swear I saw Ray morphing into Willie on some sort of timeline with a not too distant arrival date. Good Luck, Ray! Happy Trails!
