Best concert in years. I have followed them for decades. Fist time to see a live concert (except on TV). Bijou Theatre in Knoxville is one of the best concert venues in the country. Marvelous acoustics in this theatre.
I have been a fan for 50 yrs, and their opening song was a warm up for Ray Benson to start rocking. His guitar licks and vocals are better than ever and you’ll be tapping your toes and boogeying in your seat. Fun evening. Don’t miss!!
Asleep at the wheel and Ray Benson are true entertainers, first class entertainment! They are so talented and so enjoyable to listen to, well worth the time and effort to go attend their performances. Highly recommend this group!
Each member of the band is a consummate musician. Ray Benson’s voice hasn’t changed since the 70’s. A good time evening
Good show, not the best I have ever attended. Would go see them again. We didn't have the best of seats, but that was my fault for getting there late.
Asleep At The Wheel/Ray Benson sounds as good as he did back in the 70’s! The show was awesome!!!!
Why in the world did you book a lounge singer to open for Asleep at the Wheel. She had a pleasant voice and talent but was not an appropriate opener for a Texas Swing Band. Asleep at the Wheel themselves delivered a first rate performance.
We just love Asleep at the Wheel especially at the Birchmere Music Hall. Good venue, good food and service and the acoustics are very good too.
My husband and I certainly enjoyed the 'Asleep at the Wheel' concert. We've seen this group a number of times and always love it! Ray is truly talented and so was the rest of the group. I'm hoping they'll return to Indiana this summer. Again... this concert was spectacular!
