About

Heart in Concert

Ann Wilson and her younger sister, Nancy Wilson first showed the world that women can rock when their band Heart stormed the charts in the '70s with hits like "Crazy on You," "Magic Man," "Barracuda," ā€˜Straight On," "Even It Up," "Kick It Out" and so many more.Ā  They continued topping the charts through the ā€˜80s and into the ā€˜90s with huge hits like "These Dreams," "Alone," "What About Love," "If Looks Could Kill," "Never," and a string of other hits that showcased the sisters' enormous talents as both musicians and singers. Along the way, Heart sold more than 30 million records, had 21 top 40 hits, sold out arenas worldwide, and had a profound influence on rock music.Ā

In the mid-'90s, Ann and Nancy returned to Seattle and formed The Lovemongers, with long-time collaborator Sue Ennis and performer Frank Cox. After playing a number of sold-out shows in Seattle, Lovemongers cut Led Zeppelin's "Battle of Evermore" for the triple platinum soundtrack from the movie Singles, which was one of Nancy Wilson's first musical collaborations with her husband, filmmaker (and Singles writer/director) Cameron Crowe.Ā  This was followed by their work together on Jerry Maguire, the Grammy and Oscar winning Almost Famous, Vanilla Sky, and Elizabethtown.Ā Ā

After nearly 20 years of working together, each of the Wilson sisters took some time off to start their families and pursue solo projects. Nancy scored films and recorded a solo project, Live from McCabes. She and Cameron became the parents of Billy and Curtis, twin sons now 6 years old.Ā  Ā Ann, now the mother of 14-year-old Marie and 7-year-old Dustin, made her theatrical debut in "Teatro Zinzanni," followed by a stint in the NW production of "Vagina Monologues."Ā  SheĀ  also toured the U.S. and Japan with an all-star ensemble company in "Abbey Road: A Tribute to the Beatles."

The sisters reunited as Heart in early 2002, touring extensively to sold-out audiences for three summers, during which time they released a critically acclaimed live concert film on DVD and CD, Heart Alive In Seattle, followed in 2004 by Jupiters Darling, the first new Heart studio album in a decade, produced by Nancy and featuring 15 original songs. Classic Rock magazine hailed Jupiters Darling as a career tour de force, calling it "the only record you need to buy this year."Ā  Television appearances on "The Today Show," "Ellen," "Conan O'Brien," "CMT Crossroads (with Wynonna Judd)", and more followed its release. In December 2005, PBS aired a two-hour SoundStage special, showcasing songs from Jupiters Darling as well as many classic Heart hits, also available on DVD (Koch).

In 2006, Heart returns to the road again, in support of their Love Songs project for Legacy Records, a compilation of Heart hits, some in new versions, and a few brand new recordings of Ann and Nancy's favorite covers including Elton John's "Love Song."Ā  2006 will also mark the release of the first ever solo project by Ann Wilson (Rounder Records).Ā  Produced by Ben Mink (k.d. lang, BareNaked Ladies), the CD is a collection of songs of social conscience.Ā  Several guest artists will lend their performances to this landmark project, including Elton John.

    Heart/Cheap Trick Hits Review

by joshiii on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Excellent Concert! Great to see Heart LIVE again after 43 years and still Rockin! šŸ‘ Only thing I would change: Sound System Volume Reduction to 85db (maximum). At peak power points sound can distort, and thats not good. Greenville was the 1st night on the 2024 Tour, so future tweeking is understandable. Content (song selection) was excellent! šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

    Terrible

by Concert Queen on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

The concert sucked!!! Everyone seem that they wee going through the motions. I've seen music artists in their late seventies and early eighty that were excellent. I hate to say it but Heart is not one of them. I'm glad I saw them in the 80's. I was really disappointed in Cheap Trick. I saw them five years ago and they were amazing. They were very personable and had awesome interaction with the fans. I really do regret that the concert was very disappointing.

    Can Still Belt it Out!

by Vance on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

I did not know what to expect going into the concert, but was pleasantly surprised by the vocals and especially the band. The guitarists were amazing. I felt bad for the fact the lead singer had to use a chair due to her knee surgery, but was very surprised at how she could still belt it out from a seated position! Heart songs, bring back so many fond memories, and they always can get the crowd going! I would definitely see them again!

    A little disappointed

by LiLi on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Feedback during Cheap Trick and Heart. Hate Ann had knee surgery that caused her to sit during the whole concert. I feel like she struggled singing some of the songs! Loved the acoustic parts!

    Great Show

by MarieB on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Heart was fantastic at their opening show in Greenville, SC. The Wilson sisters delivered as expected, and their band was tight. Loved that they changed things up a bit with a couple of Led Zeppelin tunes and even tossed in a David Bowie song.

    Great Concert

by Lisa H on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Cheap Trick was amazing as always. They played all of their hit songs and kept the crowd on their feet. Heartā€™s Ann Wilson seemed to have some technical issues when she first came out but it didnā€™t slow her down. The band played for 90 minutes and included all their hits. Parking and entrance was easy and without issue.

    More Iconic Songs Please!

by LCSC on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Absolutely love Heart and always will, but what their audience was wanting to hear was nothing but all of their iconic songs. This was the kick off concert of their tour, so hopefully they will correct their Playlist. They lost the crowd every single time they played a song the audience didn't know. They could get away with doing that years ago, but now that they have reached the Golden years for themselves and their audiences, plus legendary icon status. All we want to hear is the Heart chart toppers that we love as fans!

    Loved seeing these legendary women

by Jimmy Mal on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Hart was greatā€¦.. as expected, they played all the great songs and the music was spot on! Understandably vocals were a little challenging on some notes but so thankful at the ages of 70 and 73 Nancy & Ann Wilson still rocked it out! Cheap Trich, on the other hand was a bit different. They just screamed out of tune the entire timeā€¦ that they came out at their age, but I was not impressed

    A little disappointed.

by Heart ā¤ļø Fan - wish they played more 80ā€™s hits on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Heart was a good concert with an awesome visual light show and sound!! We just wish they would have sang more of their 80ā€™s hits. Instead, they crammed a few of them into a fast medley. NOT COOL!! šŸ‘ŽšŸ» šŸ˜” Annie Wilson had a lot of singing missed notes due sitting down because of knee surgery. She was good other than that. Not bad for a 73 year old!!

Heart was my first concert in the ā€˜70ā€™s

by Burfman on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

The Wilson sisters are still fantastic! Anne still belts it out like she did in the 70ā€™s and loved Nancyā€™s tribute to Eddie VanHalen. The musical talent on stage with them was phenomenal! And Cheap Trick was awesome as well! Loved watching the stream of guitars!

    Time to stay home

by Timetao on 4/23/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Okay Iā€™m not being mean. Iā€™ve seen Heart many times in concert. And while I enjoyed this show somewhat Musi and need to realize when itā€™s time to retire. This band has had a solid run for many years. But this show lacks enthusiasm and zeal. Getting old is a blessing. But itā€™s time to hang it up
