An absolutely wonderful musical! Cast was exceptional!
Top thing worth noting was how incredible the costume design for this show is. Insanely intricate design and so many amazing displays throughout the show. Top marks for all performers in the ensemble we had.
I took my granddaughter to see The Lion King for her birthday. The show started at 7:30 and didn't get finished till almost 11:00 p.m. which is way past her/mine bedtime. Also, I paid over $100.00 for the tickets, a bit pricey.
I took my great granddaughter to the show figuring it was gonna be like any other musical I’ve seen. And I have to say this is truly the best musical I’ve ever seen! I still can’t believe how the cast members could turn themselves into a field of grass or operate the puppet and have the mouth move and then sing in perfect unison. It was definitely a Broadway show, and one that I will never forget !! My granddaughter was in awe watching the show. Our only disappointment when we went to buy hyenas stuffed animals and couldn’t find any lol, the best Scar ever!! if I could’ve I would’ve gone again before you leave but I hope you come back again next year because I’m planning on buying better tickets!!!
The show is creatively amazing, however the excessive volume made it difficult to understand much of the dialogue and songs.
For my birthday, I took children, five and 9, the two mothers, one father, and myself to Lion King. This was a bucket list item and it exceeded my expectations. Everyone had a fabulous time. The hyenas might be too scary for some 5 year olds. Having the older cousin helped. The children were fascinated by the actors coming in through the audience. They loved the puppets. We all had the best time.
This was a wonderful production, the actors did an amazing job. It was a 20 out of 10. They follow the movie well, music costume everything is a plus.
The Lion King was an excellent production and very enjoyable. Our tickets that we have for our usual subscription are center seats and I’m not quite sure why when the production was moved to GSR that our tickets weren’t some what comparable. We were seated way off to the left and could only see about 2/3 of the stage. This was a bit disappointing.
This was such a great experience. I took my immediate family who I found out had never been to a musical and they all loved it. Would definitely love to see more shows like this.
I loved this production of The Lion King. The acting was great, the lighting and sets were amazing, and they all came together into a truly heartfelt performance. Bravo!
This show far surpassed my expectations! It was wonderful and brought tears to my eyes as well as many of those around me! Wish I could have brought my whole family
Very well put together. Actors and actresses we were all excellent. The character animals were absolutely awesome. Love Love it and highly recommend it
We saw the Lion King years ago and were so excited to see it again. It was even better than we remembered. Such an amazing show!!!
Professional performance Excellent cast, costumes. Good acoustics. Music: loved the drums.
This performance was so incredibly amazing! From the very first scene…goosebumps to the last scene…tears 💕 and laughter sprinkled throughout!
The show was terrific.??my wife and I enjoyed the play immensely.
First time seeing Lion King, 3rd time at this venue. There's not a bad seat in the house. The experience was immersive and emotional. Singing, costumes, lyrics and lines, everything was top notch. The show was quite long, as were the bathroom lines at intermission, but what can ya do? I also had trouble pulling up my tickets inside the building; had to go outside to get a signal just as all the crowds were arriving.
Birthday 🥳 gift for my bestie. She said it was her best birthday ever! Fabulous and standing ovation 👏🏽
I could watch this again and again through all performances in Reno, NV. So outstanding! I have shared my enthusiasm will many. I told them they have to go. Not since 1994 when I saw CATS with my youngest son, have I enjoyed a play of this caliber. If I have enough money, I would attend all performances and still not get enough. The singing was great. To watch the progression of growth of Simba physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually during and after his father's counseling of Simba in his childhood blind enthusiasm into a reservoir of knowledge that he uses out of necessity in adulthood to defeat Scar and the hyenas, right before our eyes and ears. The entire presentation was engaging every moment until the closing curtain. All the actors should be proud!!
The show was great. The ushers etc were all very efficient in there positions. The times given were very close to what was announced.
