    SMC Rocked the House

by Ditto on 6/13/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

From the time the curtain opened, my breath was taken away by the volume/size of the Seattle Men’s Chorus. The total professionalism and care with each and every performance was excellent. I cried and laughed. Bravo!

    Magical!

The Seattle Men’s Chorus Disney Pride in Concert was wonderful! What an incredible production! The soloists, orchestra, story tellers, and all the singers were great!

    First show experience

by David on 6/13/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

It was my first Seattle Mens Chorus show and musical in general. I was left blown away. During a lot of aspects of the show I could have sworn it was singing matching timing of a cd/previous recording…NOT THE CASE, a whole orchestra section not to mention the amount of vocal singers…MAZING. Performances were excellently executed and stage props were also an added bonus. Great show!

    Truly inspiring

by Di on 6/13/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The music was terrifically interpreted. The testimonials were amazing, leaving me in tears. some in delight, some in rage of the injustice. I left the theatre in awe of the gift I was given in sharing this little piece of the talent of these fellow humans. Thank you all.

    Fantastic!

by PamK on 6/13/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

We absolutely loved this performance! We had some Disney lovers visiting from Boston and this could not have been better timing. The personal stories shared were poignant and lovely.

    Best Seattle Men's Chorus Ever!

    by Steve_Seattle on 6/13/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Loved this show! The soloists were amazing! The personal stories of PRIDE from several chorus members were powerful reminders of our history and our continued fight. And of course, our favorite Disney songs! Great show, thank you!

    So Fun And Uplifting

by Lyndarella on 6/13/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The choir is always outstanding…but I felt they were truly on point during the Saturday matinee performance! I was touched by hearing so many reflective stories…especially Steven’s. It turned a gray day into a rosy one!

    Incredible! Amazing! Brilliant!

by Treblemaker on 6/13/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

This has to be one of the best concerts I've ever attended, not just Seattle Men's Chorus shows, but all of them! The personal stories the men told brought deeper meaning to the music and Disney, and connected the chorus with the audience. The quality of the performance was better than would be expected of any community chorus. And the soloists, members of the chorus, not professionals, were out of this world good! I'd go again and again. It was as good as a Broadway show!

    Phenomenal!

by CJ on 6/13/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The Disney pride concert was the best I’ve ever seen this amazing group perform. So many of the songs and Disney movie clips reminded me of my childhood in the ‘50s and ‘60s. It was lovely hearing some of the men’s stories about their lives and relationships. Basically, I was on a cloud for days!

One of the Best SMC Shows!

    by E.M.V. on 6/12/23Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The SMC Pride show exceeded all my expectations! The Disney visuals, music choices, Soloist performances and personal accounts flowed smoothly considering all the technical changes. Music director Paul Caldwell should be commended for managing such a richly nuanced show that went down without a hitch. It's a shame they are only doing a few performances, because I would see it again if I could.

    Sad

by Fred on 12/5/22Pantages Theater - Tacoma

Had 2 tickets but could not attend due to illness, unforeseen last minute events. Ticketmaster did not have option for selling these 2 fine tickets. It would have helped us use the money we spent but could not use on this event for a future TicketMaster event. Now we will not be able to.

    Enjoyable

by Cahcal on 6/27/11McCaw Hall - Seattle

This was my first time to see the Men's Chorus. I found it enjoyable and entertaining. It was not as disciplined as I expected having seen ad photos of tuxedoed singers. The lack of discipline included some of the singing and technical parts of the performance. It seemed too big and unruly at times and some of the singers in vignettes seemed mismatched to the selections. Maybe I should say "less is more." The dancing also needed to be tighter; either fewer performers at a time or more coordination. Having said this, I add that some of the performances were "star" quality.

    So Much Talent!

by toyoungtopolka on 4/5/11McCaw Hall - Seattle

I took my Grandma to the concert and we both enjoyed it very much. They sounded great and were enjoying themselves as much as we enjoyed listening to their beautiful voices. Full of fun in the first half then very dramatic and heartbreaking in the second half. They did a wonderful job and we will not soon forget this powerful performance.

    Good show, always fun!

by Bryholf on 12/15/10Benaroya Hall - S. Mark Taper Auditorium - Seattle

The show was very good this year. Some classical music mixed in with the typical zany theatrics of the Men's Chorus. Good show overall, sound was a little low on a couple of things but very pleasing overall.

    Holiday Glee - Grade B

    by Garbear68 on 12/7/10Benaroya Hall - S. Mark Taper Auditorium - Seattle

Maybe I was over anticapating how great I thought it was going to be based on previous experience, and some of the numbers were beautifully awesome, but the TV Glee business didn't seem to fit in all that well and the Turkey number was aptly named. Still the good stuff was really good and glad that I went.
