  • As always unforgettable!

by MarshaH on 12/7/09Benaroya Hall - S. Mark Taper Auditorium - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I don't know how Dennis Coleman can make 200 men send like one voice but he most certainly does. The lyrics alone would make you giggle but add the choreography and you might just leave with a sore tummy from all the hysteria. The sign language is poetry and dance - amazing. The Men's Chorus never fails to entertain in a most delightful way. Bring your sense of humor and your holiday spirit and enjoy!

  • Something for everyone

Wonderful concert. An eclectic selection of numbers - there was something for everyone. Among the memorable performances was Silent Night; unbelievably beautiful. Throughout the evening I found myself paying close attention to the man who performed the numbers in sign language. His movements were fluid, artistic and breathtaking. A very memorable evening.

As always, you can count on an amazing show and it delivered. The voices were wonderful and the comedy parts were entertaining. But I have to say that my favorite thing each year is watching Kevin Gallagher!!! I don't know sign language, but he expressses the songs so beautifully. Thank you for the show you perform and for coming to Everett for a show.

  • SMC and Betty Buckley - who could ask for more?

    by Dunlow1222 on 11/29/09Benaroya Hall - S. Mark Taper Auditorium - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing night of tremendous talent all on one stage. It was a perfect start to the holiday season! Betty Buckley graced the stage to sing a few numbers and her rendition of "River" was amazing! For all round, sometimes a little risque, entertainment you should definitely catch this show! Special mention should go to the ASL signer, he was entertainment on his own and when the whole chorus joined him to sign "Silent Night" it was an amazing and very touching performance.

Have been a number of times but only twice on opening night. Not very tight at all and not up to last year's opening night. Imagine the performance will get better over time but the content was disappointing and not up to past years in my humble opinion. Not nearly as cleaver although it was plain that a lot of work went into it. Seemed a bit "cause" focused although the bollywood theme was well done and enjoyable. As an aside, too many people texting during the performance and the lights from their phones were distracting. Maybe that was just around us, but it still distracted from what was already a weak program and made it less enjoyable. Perhaps a caution to have the audience douse their phones during the performance.
