Relaxed and very informative. The tour guide was top notch. Seriously one of the best tours I have been on anywhere. I thought I knew some stuff about Chicago and architecture but I still learned so much. Gorgeous views that you cannot get walking around. 10/10

Although it was a super hot and humid day, we had the best time! Cocktails and city views and some shade from the bridges got us through! Our decent was so knowledgeable, humorous and friendly! If anyone needed a reprieve from the sun and heat, the air-conditioned bar downstairs was just the place! A gorgeous way to see the city!

Fabulous experience, amazing guide, breathtaking views. This is THE cruise to take. Explanations like nowhere else. Don’t miss it. Worth every cent.

The First Lady is truly the best of Chicago’s Architectural Boats Tours. Captain, crew and docent are highly trained professionals with a passion for what they do and it shows from start to finish. This tour is very informative yet relaxing. If you’re a local or a visitor you’ll learn a lot on this 90 minute ride on the Chicago river while soaking in the spectacular views of some of the most famous architectures.

We were amazed at the information we received on the Architecture tour of Chicago. Our guide was amazing with his information and his obvious love of the buildings and city. He was a volunteer guide and did the best job! Highly recommend it!!!

I've done the Chicago Architecture Center boat tour every time I have friends or family in town, I've even gone by myself! They always do such a wonderful job sharing the Chicago history. Because the tour is led by actual Architects, their heart and soul is conveyed with their messages about each building. I learn something new on every tour! We had the pleasure of being led by Siobhan, she was fantastic! Highly recommend this river tour!!

The architecture tour was wonderful. Weather was beauty and the guide was interesting and entertaining. It was nice to be able to enjoy a cold beer too. Highly recommend.

Beautiful views of the city, some of the best photos we got from our trip, and really great information about the architecture. Only thing I’d suggest is telling people umbrellas are not allowed. They can sometimes block views for others. Wear a hat, wear sunscreen, it can definitely get hot, but if you’re too hot, go downstairs, don’t selfishly block other people’s views.

We loved riding the river and learning about the history and architecture! Our guide was fantastic as were the drinks 😀 highly recommend the tour!!!

You must absolutely consider this a MUST DO activity. The too quick 90-minute River Cruise did an awesome job in not only explaining the incredible architecture in Chicago, but also a fair history of one of my favorite cities. The volunteer guide, from the Architecture Foundation was beyond impressive.

The host or docent was amazing with all that she taught us along the way. Beautiful tour of so many aspects of the downtown area.

What a wonderful introduction (and more) to the architecture of Chicago. While the boat was full, I did not feel crowded and I think everyone had a good view. The crew was very helpful & friendly. Doug, our tour guide, was fantastic. Never a dull moment. You could tell that he was truly interested in the architecture and proud of his City. Loved the little back-stories that he shared along the way.

The river tour was amazing. Definitely helped that it was a phenomenal weather day in Chicago. Our docent was so extremely knowledgeable about the history of Chicago's architecture. It was fascinating. She knew who owned what buildings and how the designs came to be and who designed them. Absolutely worth the $$$$. Great thing to experience for city dwellers , suburb dwellers and for tourists. Loved it.

The entire cruise is well organized. From its pickup and drop off locations, to the actual cruise, you get an excellent opportunity to your the city and its impressive architecture. Chris the host truly enjoys sharing his knowledge of the buildings, both architecture and history. I would take this cruise again on my next visit to Chicago.

Overall this was an amazing experience. I took the tour early in the morning and it was a great way to see all the architectural wonders Chicago has. This is a must see if you ask me!
