We all had a great time on the architecture tour. The views of the buildings were magnificent along with our guide's information regarding the different architectural styles. I believe Deb was our tour guide and she did an excellent job. I highly recommend this tour.

We went on the architectural night time tour on our first night in Chicago. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We started out in the daylight and ended up with a beautiful view of the city after dark. It was a great way to start our trip and set the tone for a wonderful 4 days along the Riverfront.
My 20 year old son and I enjoyed the cruise. Our narrator was very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this cruise to my friends and family.
Great experience! Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, boat ride was smooth and the trip was the perfect length...not so long you lose interest or too short were you feel like cheated.
Our docent never even read off notes. He was so knowledgeable and never hesitated when speaking of the history of these buildings. We loved the stories and of course the architecture was amazing. Our tour left on time and returned on time. The downside was that there was no elevator. So glad we chose to do the tour. We even learned some things.
Buying online tickets was easy, the line was short, the boat clean & comfortable and the staff friendly & helpful. But the very best thing - the thing that made this tour the highlight of our visit - was our volunteer docent, Val. We learned so much fascinating insight into the architecture along the Chicago river as well as about the history of the city and the people who shaped the Chicago of today.
This tour is amazing and everyone, whether a local or a tourist, can find something to enjoy on this tour. Our docent, Tom, was just amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. I saw the city with a new eye for detail and that was special. It was HOT up on deck, it was probably around 85 degrees that day. There is an air conditioned, enclosed area below deck with a very nice bar. I really wanted for nothing on this tour except a slightly cooler day! This is a great activity for a date, if you are a local and want a fun outing, or if you have guests from out of town. I plan to do it again soon I had such a nice time.
This tour was so informative that we definitely need to go back. The volunteer was so knowledgeable and everything was timed perfectly. The guide knew everything about all the buildings and made discovering the city so interesting!
Mitzi was our tour guide and for 1 1/2 hours she filled us with information, history and significance of Chicago's architecture. This was a most enjoyable tour.
I grew up in the city and this is a must do event. The docent was very knowledgeable and the views unsurpassed. Sit on the port side for the best views !
I have a whole new appreciation for the skyline of Chicago. Everyone has raved about this tour for years and I now know why. The history, the designs, the reasons why buildings are the way they are - fascinating. Worth every penny.
The boat set up was great, sites were amazing, but the tour guide was subpar.
There are many companies that offer tours of the Chicago River, but the very best, the most informative, and the most knowledgeable, are the cruises offered by the Chicago Architecture Center and the Chicago's First Lady and sister boats. The presenters are well trained and have extensive background in Chicago history and architecture.
I absolutely LOVED the architecture river cruise. Betsy was fantastic as our guide. She knows her stuff. I learned so much about the city and it’s history. I will recommend everyone. This is a must for your tourist list of things to do in Chicago.
This cruise was a little more formal than I was expecting, seated in chairs the entire ride, but it was very professional, educational and fun. Emcee'd by a local, knowledgeable volunteer. Our timing was during sunset and ended on the Lake at dark, highly recommend that time.
