    #1 Traveler

by Jada Joy on 1/6/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

The lights were beautiful, but there should of been activities for the kids and it should of been longer like the entire boardwalk. It only lasted 30 minutes and I paid almost $40.

Some of the lights were out

by Razz on 1/3/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

Longer than before. A lot of new scenes. Animation was good.

    Not impressed

by Gigi on 1/3/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

This could have been better and it definitely was not worth $30. Mind you, this was AFTER Xmas at this price! I took my niece to see what I thought was going to have us in moments of "awe"like the lights I saw during my childhood that I wanted to look at all night. Nope, this was not it. I could have driven down some roads from my city for free with way better looking Xmas lights. Perhaps seeing what home communities do with their holiday lights will help you in the future. Also, the snacks were definitely not worth their prices either!! The popcorn was stale and the cookies were awful. For the amount I paid I thought they'd at least be fresh Otis Spunkmeyer cookies or even freshly baked and not store bought cookies. The only thing that was good was the hot chocolate (which I'm surprised was actually hot). Please do better.

    Nice enough, but overpriced

by Midnight on 1/3/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

In the early days the drive down the boardwalk was $15 and you got a CD to play the Christmas music. Now, it's $30/car and the Christmas music is piped into your car via FM 104.3. Unfortunately, the radio signal became inaudible as you got close to the north end of the boardwalk. Also, ~20% of the displays had at least one component failed (dark). The light tunnel at the end was really cool and amazing!

    Nice but needs more

by Brittaley on 1/3/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

For almost $40 a car, there could’ve been way more lights or set ups I loved the tunnels of light in the middle and the end ‘Maybe more of those and more projections in the hotels That was nice feature this yr

    An excellent show this year

    Fun, but over priced

by Sarah on 1/3/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

These are some of the most expensive lights to view in the area. I'm not sure it's worth the price, but it's fun to take out of town family to. The concessions were a nice option this year, but a bag of popcorn was $10...yikes.

    Overpriced!

by dennifer on 1/2/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

I thought the lights were beautiful and tastefully done. I don't understand with the surcharge, it was $37.00. to go through in about 20 minutes. Other than that it was great.

    Overall a fun holiday experience

by Kb on 1/2/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

We enjoyed it but wished there was a little bit more to it for the price. The radio station they told us to connect to also did not work very well and didn’t go with the lights - the music was all slow and didn’t seem festive or fun like you would expect. Overall, it was a fun experience for the holidays.

    Holiday Lights Review

by Diane on 1/2/24Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk - Virginia Beach

I was disappointed on how the 1st 10 blocks of the beach DID NOT have any lights. Traffic was all backed up even with the 2 lanes. I have been coming to the lights at the beach for years and always saw the lights right at 1st Street. Now I had to sit in traffic for more than 30 minutes until it came down to 1 lane and saw the first light. Chances are my family and I won't be back.
