Va. Beach works hard to make sure everyone has a happy, magical time on the boardwalk of Holiday lights! Everything is run like a well oiled machine in the best way, organized & well laid out for optimal viewing. Had the best time & a big thanks to all involved to make this special for all!😍
The lights are always a nice event to take the kids during the holiday season. Unfortunately, as the one driving, it's hard to not be constantly distracted by the other drivers unable to just cruise down the boardwalk. It's honestly annoying to have to constantly brake like it's rush hour traffic. The Bayport radio at one pointed out you shouldn't be stopping and it suddenly got better but only briefly. Overall it was fine, no fault on the organizers or the display itself.
Our first time seeing the holiday lights on the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Event was clearly marked, organized, and efficient. The displays were creative and fun. We will definitely make this a yearly trip.
Worth every penny. The tunnel was really fun. The animated disappearing fish were adorable.
The light displays were stunning and bright! We enjoyed driving down the boardwalk at our leisure. It's a little bothersome when the people behind you leave their headlights on tho! All in all it was a great display!
Lights on the boardwalk are so good. Such a fun event lights are professionally done. Cruising in your car looking at the beautiful lights. Definitely will go back again.
No info on where to start that it’s an hour long entry not and exact time location to start tune into fm station enjoyed the experience

I was very impressed with the improvement of the boardwalk lights.
I love Christmas lights. It was fun be able to see the VA beach lights. I liked how they were connected to the radio station but the radio kept going in and out so I just wish that was better. I loved all the Santa on the beach lights too. Those were so cute.
We had a wonderful time driving down the boardwalk! Easy to purchase tickets and even easier to get in line once arriving at que spot. We enjoyed the various light displays!
I took my kids to the holiday lights at the beach hoping to see a great show and all we got was a dud. I was hoping for lights that would move with the music and all we got were a few that moved back and forth but not with the music. The lights were spaced out far too far apart and they weren’t even that good. I’ve seen houses with better light displays. I will not be returning. This was a pathetic joke of a light display put on by the city. If you want to go to a real light show go see illuminate light show at meadow event park. I think whoever designs this show should go look at theirs and try to emulate them. If their light show were the grizzwalds, this would have been Charlie browns Christmas tree in comparison. I’m sorry I wasted my time and money on this show. To make matters worse, the radio station we were supposed to have it on would cut in and out and was staticky as well. Overall not impressed at all.
As a local, the light show was better than the previous years.
This year surprise was that there was less traffic and wait time on the street, but it seems the trade off was many of the lights were now spread out between right (next all the hotel lights which takes away from the show, hotels keep their night lights on so the show is less visible) and left towards the beach (lights glow best on the beach side). It would be wonderful to have a waiting station with light synced to music. Hire some local talent to write the music! I love still seeing the Nativity scene. Would love to see more Christian representation on the visuals, after all it’s CHRISTmas 🎄
Missed the event and trying to reschedule but was told it can't be reschedule eventhough i bought insurance from Allianze. Waste of money and time.
Light display was beautiful. Line was too long waiting to get in a single file line
Great family experience and a nice way to disconnect from the Christmas rush.
Location was easy to find, however I think there is still room for improvement. It was nice but I expected more.
We live here and have enjoyed the VB Boardwalk lights for years. This year’s display is absolutely wnoderful!! The event HAS TO rethink the concessions and delays it causes. Super inefficient and on a Friday or Saturday night you’ll need 2 hours with an hour and a half for the car line. Hoping they work on that for 2024
Please attempt to honor the time frame selected. There should be two lines one for previously purchased tickets and a line for on the spot purchases. There were a few displays whose lights were missing working bulbs
