Blippi The Musical on Stage

Blippi The Musical is a two-act comedy about a boy named Blippi who loves to play in the world while taking his viewers along for the ride. He inspires kids to explore their environment with curiosity and creativity, teaching them about responsibility through song and play. Stevin John is the original creative force behind Blippi, whose energetic, childlike persona is portrayed in thickly framed glasses, a blue button-down shirt, bright orange suspenders, bow tie, and cap to match. John wrote, acted, filmed, edited, produced and shared Blippi's first episodes on YouTube in 2014. The videos quickly became an obsession among kids between the ages of 2 and 6 years old, and the parents who discover Blippi in search of wholesome kids' content on the internet also appreciate John's safe material. The show's popularity amassed billions of view counts as Blippi catapulted into the limelight. John would eventually sign a master toy deal with Jazwares LLC and sell his edu-tainment program to Moonbug Entertainment, who partnered with Virgin Media to distribute the show in the United Kingdom. It's now dubbed in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Arabic, and Hebrew, and the spin-off show, "Blippi's Treehouse," began airing on Amazon Kids+ in 2021. This all-ages extravaganza produced by Round Room Live will feature a dynamic stage actor cast to perform Blippi The Musical on tour, thrilling live audiences nationwide.

    Blippi

by Awesome on 5/5/24Save Mart Center - Fresno

I thought the show was very interactive. It was an intimate setting that allowed kids to be kids. The 20min intermission for the bathroom was a great idea. Thank you for catering to the needs of the kids- i saw a number of special needs children and to see the excitement on their face was priceless!

    Poor Experience

by Mema on 5/4/24SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

The Venue, has the ability to be great, but it is not; concessions were very limited with cold corndogs, other very limited choices (string cheese, fruit, candy, pretzel). all cold. The Blippi souvenir stand was very very limited, out of most sizes in kids shirts and recommended to order them online, no thanks. the show was ok, but the audience was really flat and not very excited. Felt the cast was just kind of going through the motions. We attended this show 2 years ago, at the same facility, and it was a completely different experience. Not sure what happened but we most likely won't go back

    Disappointed

by LW on 5/4/24SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

My 4 year old son enjoyed so I guess that's what matters. However paying 400.00 for mom, dad and one child to go was a great expense for a show that was just actors that didn't even look like Blippi or Meekah was not worth it. Also the photo shoot was not ADA accessible. Total disappointment.

by Tish on 5/4/24SACRAMENTO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM - Sacramento

My son loved the show. He said, “Mom, I had so much fun at Blippi!” His favorite song “Excavator” was sung along with some pretty exciting vehicles on the stage.

    Different show than before

    by A Dad on 5/4/24

Took the kids to a show a few years ago and it was good, hence why we went back. This time the noticeable differences would keep us from going back. It was considerably shorter. 30 minutes, intermission, 25 minutes and done. Before it was more interactive with talking that got the kids engaged, mixed with the classic songs. This was straight songs the whole time, many of which my kids didn’t know. The music was loud to the point it was hard to make out the words to the song if you didn’t already know them. The first half half almost no props, my kids were surprisingly bored and sat in their seats the entire time. The second half they brought out more props and my kids got into it more and danced for two songs. Then it was quickly over. First time we went the show was sold out. This time it was clearly not and the ushers were encouraging people to move up seats. A reflection of the changes and quality?
