FRIENDS! The Musical Parody is the comedic musical that lovingly pokes fun at TV's Friends, celebrating the adventures of your favorite group of 20-something friends as they navigate the pitfalls of work, life, and love in 1990s Manhattan.
It's a typical day at New York's only coffee shop, Central Perk, until an unexpected runaway bride enters the picture and kicks the whole gang out of second gear! The new musical recreates our favorite moments from all 10 years of Friends through an uncensored, fast-paced, music filled romp. Recommended for mature audiences.
definitely a must see for friends fans. Actors were very very good; setting was intimate and we enjoyed every bit of it.
good production, if you saw ALL the episodes you'd find it even funnier as there were a lot of in-jokes.
I absolutely LOVED the Friends the Musical Parody!! The show it self was so entertaining and I don’t believe I stopped laughing once. The Broadway Playhouse was very nice as well. It was my first time going there and I wasn’t sure what to expect. But the service and all the employees were very friendly and helpful. Great service! Overall the entire experience was perfect. Thank you for a great show!
It was great but as a Friends fan you'd expect that.... Go see this if you have the opportunity you will not be disappointed!!!
As a diehard Friends fan, I was really looking forward to this show and, in general, was disappointed. There were a few laugh out loud moments but overall, I felt that they tried too hard to jam as many references as they could in and there was no real storyline. I thought the repeated jabs at Matthew Perry's drug problems were in poor taste and I was perplexed at the vocal inflections of the actress portraying Rachel. I don't understand what purpose the character of Gunther served, but if she was there, why couldn't she have played the other characters instead of the guy playing Chandler? I was excited to see that the same artistic team has done a parody of The Office, another favorite show, but after this experience it's doubtful that I will buy tickets to that if it comes to Chicago.
VERY CLEVER!! If you are a fan of "Friends"... This is a MUST see! We laughed the entire time and every character was spot on! Kudos to the entire cast! "Rachel" had the exact voice! Joey played "dumb" very well! Ross was "down" and gloomy. Chandler was, well, Chandler. Loved that Phoebe referred to her dead mother and pointed out not Smelly ***. Fat Monica was hysterical! However, the most laughter-out-loud moment was JANICE!!! Fantastic!!! Loved every minute of the entire show!!
We were expecting a little more. The show was marginally funny at best.
Cast was awesome. Play was hilarious. Great songs and singers. Would recommend to any Friends fan.
Unfortunately we did not enjoy this Parody and left at intermission. We understand it's a "Parody" and meant to be corny, but found the jokes distasteful. They tried to take the original jokes and make jokes off of them, but for us they didn't work. We have never left a show early, so we were sad to have done this.
Creative, funny, witty-perfect for those who love the show
