About

HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now.  Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre--a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

    Magnificent!!

by SarahC on 3/1/26Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas City

Hamilton was perfection! The actors kept the rhythm, musicality, and feel we all know and love, while taking the occasional opportunity to add their own touch. King George was phenomenal, Eliza’s performance was breathtaking, and Hamilton’s voice and acting made me feel like I was listening to LMM! We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. A dream come true for my daughter and me!!!

Show excellent, sound system - not good

by Ham fam 1957 on 3/1/26Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas City

The show was great. The acting and stage were excellent. The sound system didn't work for those near us, and ourselves, in the balcony center section. You could not understand the dialog.

    Absolutely amazing

by Jennifer on 3/1/26Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas City

My daughter and I drove from out of state to see this play and it was well worth it! 10/10 for the cast and ensemble. It was truly an incredible experience. I would definitely recommend seeing this play if you can!

    King George was the star.

by KCSungirl on 3/1/26Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas City

Show was too long. The first song was 15 minutes long. I got bored. The theater was freezing. I was miserable. No complaints on cast and content. I needed that refresher course on American History. King George was worth the price of admission. Dadadadadadadadadadadada

    It was ok.

by Repeat customer on 2/28/26Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas City

Last year I watched the traveling tour in Seattle. It was an amazing show. We could not understand Lafayette in Seattle but other than that. It was amazing. This year’s tour seems like it’s the JV team. George Washington was quiet, gave bulldog facial expressions and it just didn’t hit. The new King George is ok, you can tell he’s trying to make the character his own. It’s not bad, it just was not as good as the previous actor. Burr was amazing. Much better than the previous actor. Solid performance. Not being able to understand George Washington this time around really put a damper on the show. He tried to do some comedic relief with his expressions. Those weren’t great. 3 out of 5 stars is appropriate.

    Mind Blown!

    by First timer on 2/28/26

My husband and I were not sure what to expect, but it definitely wasn't what we experienced. We were blown away! The set was so detailed.... but then the show started and it sucked you right in! The actors were amazing, and their voices were so pure, and the performances so powerful! Thank you to the whole production, you are Rockstars!

    Loved it!!!!

by HamilFanW on 2/27/26Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

I saw it twice during its 2 week run in Appleton, once was a lottery win (ham4ham) and the 2nd was a full price ticket. The best part was I saw 2 different Hams and a few other cast members were different each time. I also sat on either side of the theater which made me notice things for each performance I haven’t before. Hamilton is a truly amazing experience not to be missed.
