Monster Jam Triple Threat Series on Tour
The hottest show on wheels returns with its trademark combo of races and stunts, pitting the best drivers in the biggest monster trucks against one another for a shot at the Monster Jam World Finals, a monster of a good time for the whole family.
The driver-athletes in each Triple Threat Series must compete in three vehicles — monster trucks, monster ATVs, and monster speedsters — over seven different competitions, some racing and some freestyle. The ATVs are the Monster Jam version of the four-wheeler you may have raced through the woods, and the Speedsters are UTVs, like a monster truck shrunk down to the size of a Jeep or dune buggy and outfitted with balloon tires.
In the freestyle competitions — Two Wheel Skills, Donuts, and Freestyle — Monster Jam fans in the stadium judge and score the events using their smartphones and a special live code on the JudgeZone web app. No other live sporting event gives the audience such involvement in the results.
Two-Wheel Skills isn't just your grandpa's wheelies. It's any trick where a maximum of two wheels stay on the ground, from a sky wheelie, bumper to the ground and nose to the air, to a walk-it wheelie, one back wheel at a time, to a stoppie nose-first where the driver moonwalks to the finish.
In the Donuts contest, some monster trucks spin and twirl so fast they create a cyclone, but it's not just about dirt, it's about style.
In the general freestyle, your favorite trucks (and drivers) perform feats of daring and strength in the mud and dust, climbing, rolling, diving, and falling the way things with four wheels rarely do — at least not on purpose.
Combined with the three types of vehicle races, whichever athlete has the most points at the end of the day is the overall winner. At the end of the season, 24 contestants will compete for the title of World Champion.
The pit pass could have been a little more organized. I might not purchase that again but the main event was worth it for the kids.
It was awesome will be back again my 3 year old son was so excited and he loved it.
I’m 30 & my parents took us to see the shows a lot as kids bc we loved it. So I took my kids to see it they loved it but it was nothing like it use to be. The drivers were not near as good I was just disappointed bc it was nothing like it was. The gravedigger sucked. Max D was the only good driver. They need to make the shows more Like they use to be and not role play so much crap. And I am woman saying this.
This was a gift for my son and my 2 grandsons, who are die-hard Grave Digger fans. According to them, they had a fantastic time at the show and the pit party. This is the second time I have given them tickets and they enjoy it better each time.
Overall it was fun and my 4 yo loved it, but honestly it was very slow paced, it felt monotonous and really not worth the money. I personally enjoyed the hot wheels monster truck show to be much better and would definitely go back to that one. It was Ok for the experience but would not go back.
I try to take my grandkids as often as possible to Monster Truck shows, but they all agreed that this was the last Monster truck show that they wanted to attend. They all asked what happen to the excitement? Something is missing. Its just not the same and its sure not worth the money. I agree with them, this was my last Monster Truck show.
Outstanding took grandson. He will always remember it.
My two sons and I went to the show and had a blast, the only thing I was a little disappointed about was there were no cars destroyed by the trucks. My youngest son kept asking if they were going to run over cars. Other than that we had a great time and will be back next year.
This was one of the best events , we took our 3 year old grandson who loves everything trucks and cars he was so excited to see all these monster trucks do all there tricks . It was one of the best .
Excellent event. Wish there was a bit more room for the trucks to really get going but thats not possible in a small area like PNC arena. My 3 year old had a blast! Wish a bottle of water wasnt $5 though
You know going into the event the area is small. However, they use to race side by side and you would see more stunts. They only had ONE merchandising stand per floor with a line over an hour long wait. For the amount of money and the experience, it's not worth the money.
Its was good. Bit we have been to so many we were expecting more of a show from the trucks. We left happy because pur favorite won. We miss Mohawk Warrior and would love to see him again
This event was great and the employees went above and beyond to help. This is one of the best events I've been to with such great employees you actually acted like they loved the job they were at and enjoyed helping people out. Thanks for being amazing! The monster trucks were amazing with lots of different trucks. Loved the free style event with Max D indoor flip !!
Few competitors. Few tricks. Only 2 vendors of merchandise. .
Had a wonderful time at the event. Fun for the entire family. Show was action packed and we enjoyed every minute!
It was a great monster jam the workers were very nice helped find what row we were at
It was great. Did not need to arrive so early. Everything else was great!
Our first MTJ. The revving of the engines of the monster trucks gets the crowd excited! Fun event...bring ear protection if you are sitting down front closer to the arena. We had no idea what the first couple of races wete about..but still had fun watching and picking our favorites. You can vote after each race on yr phone..listen carefully for the instructions at the start and get the code for that day. The audience votes pick the winner. Save Mart Ctr is a nice venue. Next time we'll do an outdoor Mobster Truck Jam where there's more space for the big trucks to perform.
I took my kids and my nephew for my sons birthday! It was a surprise for them and they were so excited. I thoroughly enjoyed the show as well. The only issue I had was with some venue employees who didn’t help me get the best picture for my son for a souvenir photo that I purchased. Other than that, it was an amazing time
The kids loved it although in the beginning I think they could do a few tricks to grab their attention right away.
