Monster Jam Triple Threat Series on Tour

The hottest show on wheels returns with its trademark combo of races and stunts, pitting the best drivers in the biggest monster trucks against one another for a shot at the Monster Jam World Finals, a monster of a good time for the whole family.

The driver-athletes in each Triple Threat Series must compete in three vehicles — monster trucks, monster ATVs, and monster speedsters — over seven different competitions, some racing and some freestyle. The ATVs are the Monster Jam version of the four-wheeler you may have raced through the woods, and the Speedsters are UTVs, like a monster truck shrunk down to the size of a Jeep or dune buggy and outfitted with balloon tires.

In the freestyle competitions — Two Wheel Skills, Donuts, and Freestyle — Monster Jam fans in the stadium judge and score the events using their smartphones and a special live code on the JudgeZone web app. No other live sporting event gives the audience such involvement in the results.

Two-Wheel Skills isn't just your grandpa's wheelies. It's any trick where a maximum of two wheels stay on the ground, from a sky wheelie, bumper to the ground and nose to the air, to a walk-it wheelie, one back wheel at a time, to a stoppie nose-first where the driver moonwalks to the finish.

In the Donuts contest, some monster trucks spin and twirl so fast they create a cyclone, but it's not just about dirt, it's about style.

In the general freestyle, your favorite trucks (and drivers) perform feats of daring and strength in the mud and dust, climbing, rolling, diving, and falling the way things with four wheels rarely do — at least not on purpose.

Combined with the three types of vehicle races, whichever athlete has the most points at the end of the day is the overall winner. At the end of the season, 24 contestants will compete for the title of World Champion.

    Great

by Jordan on 3/10/20Allstate Arena - Rosemont

Everything with the show and food was great but the seats were very uncomfortable. My 5 year old son didn't want to get up at all but the place and seating was too small for an event like this.

Great show first time monster jam experience

    by Onibur06 on 3/10/20PNC Arena - Raleigh

Monster Jam was a fun first experience. I do think they should have held it in a bigger arena, but I understand Raleigh is the state capital and more well known than another city would be. Overall, it was fun and I enjoyed it. Can’t wait to take my son when he is older.

    Second time

    by C. K. on 3/10/20PNC Arena - Raleigh

There's no leg room!!! We had to sit sideways or else knees would be into the guys head in the next row. 2) There's no tiered ticket pricing? Not that I saw. Flat rate for all, no child or senior discount. 3) People, stop buying the WAY over priced food & drinks! Seriously, prices will drop.

    A little disappointed

by Tamra on 3/10/20PNC Arena - Raleigh

Lots of breakdowns and only maybe three stunts besides jumping the hill. The adults thought we would enjoy it but it was actually pretty boring for us. My four year old semi-enjoyed it. But was bored as well. Kids beside us were bored too.

    Great family event

    by P. M. on 3/10/20Save Mart Center - Fresno

My son is 5 years old and had an amazing time. Very family friendly. We loved how we were able to vote for the trucks on our cellphones. Our seats were great. And it wasn’t too loud (though we still bought ear plugs). Overall 5 stars, will see them again next time they’re in Fresno.

Mediocre. Not impressive compared to 5 years ago

by Chris on 3/10/20PNC Arena - Raleigh

They used quads and razors to fill the show. It was mediocre. The monster trucks played it safe. MaxD driver was only one to perform a back flip. He also was the only one impressive on the 2 wheel challenge.

Had the best time. Some of the drivers even came into the crowd and sat with us and took pictures. Best experience so far!

    Disappointment

    by Disappointed mom on 3/9/20

Pretty disappointed with the overall show/performance. My 4 year old is obsessed with everything monster jam and has all of the trucks and a grave digger powerwheels so he can do "stunts" of his own lol. He idolizes them! We had been looking forward to this show since late October. So I was pretty darn sad that he didn't get to see all of the things about MJ that he has seen on YouTube. First off I think it was a horrible choice in venue for this type of show. I had never visited the venue before so i was shocked at exactly how tight everything was. Most of the "show" was intermission or atv/side by side racing. The trucks could barely do anything besides small jumps. The coolest things were the 2 wheel challenges(because that's probably all they had room for) and The Zombie truck managed to do a complete backflip which was the only really cool highlight of the day. Not to mention the merchandise was outrageously priced. We paid $20 for 2 small trucks that we could have gotten him at Walmart for $8 meaning they were just regular editions. Not MJ fault but the parking situation for this venue is horrendous. Friends accompanied us with their son and ended up having to just let us take him in with us while they tried to find a park. They drove around for 45 mins with no luck and ended up having to drive all the way to Beaverton 20mins outside the city to take the MAX and then spent another 15mins on the train back to the moda center. By the time they got there they only had about 20 mins of show before it was over. The show didn't even last 2 hours. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.

    Not very eventful

    by D. D. on 3/9/20Save Mart Center - Fresno

Nothing really exciting, I found myself reaching for my phone out of boredom. They wasn’t much crowd interaction they repeated themselves over and over. It was in all honesty very very blah. I wouldn’t waste the money again.

Took our 3 kids to the show. It was not what we expected, seeing the show in previous years, we were disappointed.

    Overall, good experience

    by R. K. on 3/9/20Allstate Arena - Rosemont

Show was great; venue seems a little small to get the full monster truck experience, but it was still very entertaining. Lines were long for concessions (and slow).
