Saw the show on the 40th anniversary night. The singing was amazing. Even though I have probably seen the movie long ago, the storyline had new meaning for me as an adult. Loved seeing with my teenage kids.

  • More like a community theater.

Annie is a classic musical that I have seen many times in different settings. I did not enjoy this version as many as others due to the lack of correography and the forced nasal voices of the children's characters. There was minimal dancing and the dancing that was done was very simplistic. Annie and Molly had very forced, nasal voices to the point it became like fingernails on a chalkboard. This was not what I expected from a national touring production. That being said, the sets were very well done as well as transitions between scenes. The orchestra was also very good.

I took my 6 year old daughter to see Annie last weekend. The acting and singing were impeccable! I love the modifications they made in the play, it was so well done. The orchestra was fantastic as well. We were mesmerized from beginning to end!

This was very, very well done. I am always amazed with the acting that is done -- especially by Annie and the other Orphans. Very much enjoyed the entire show and would highly recommend to other. Great job cast and crew!

The play itself was excellent! The performers were spot on and the scene changes were virtually flawless. Would definitely see it again in the future but would pay the extra for closer seats.

My wife and I went to see Annie. We loved it. It was very well done and professional. Definitely worth the money we enjoyed it thoroughly. But I wonder with so many children present is it really necessary to swear so much? Clean it up folks and make the experience the best possible for EVERYONE present.

  • Nostalgic and very entertaining!

I have seen many Annie productions in my lifetime, and this one is one of my top favs. The actors and actresses; both little and big, were extremely talented with beautiful singing voices! I actually cried happy tears during hard knock life watching the expression on my 2 daughters face watching the amazing dancing and singing. Our seats were somewhat of an obstructed view and we were sort of annoyed at first, but the show was so fabulous that in the end, it didn't matter at all. Thank you for the wonderful memories!!!!

  • Classic show did not disappoint!

by KPoss on 3/5/17Tilles Center Concert Hall - BrookvilleRating: 4 out of 5

We went to see this version of the musical because a friend was in it (Annie!), so it made our experience much more meaningful. I have seen numerous productions of Annie in my 40-something years (including the original and the first revival). It's a classic that never disappoints. The kids are always adorable, Miss Hannigan is always ridiculously nasty and inappropriate, and the singing and dancing servants and cabinet members are always entertaining! The set was very minimal, but there's no need for an elaborate set.

"Annie" was better than I expected it to be. I saw it on Broadway all those years ago and had to scale down my expectations from that viewing. Our local theatre is a great venue and the show was super. Set changes seamless, cast excellent and "Sandy" very good at her or his craft! Pit band the best! Wonderful and money well spent.
