Wonderful show. One comment though - for a show like Annie, which is attended by many small children, it would have been better if it was earlier or maybe even a matinee. The show was great though.

The kid actors were fun to watch and they were very good, so was Sandy, the dog. Otherwise the show was slow paced with many scenes lacking stage props and design expected in the Broadway type of show.

  • Annie was a disapointment

We were so excited to see Annie. Paid $40 each for our tickets. There wasn't much spent on the scenery, I expected more at Symphony Hall than I get at the Majestic Theatre( which is pretty good for what you pay). Annie was much too long. It did not need the intermission. There were many kids including my own getting very sleepy and cranky by 10. It was also very hot in Symphony hall, my husband and I were both uncomfortably warm. The performers were very talented. Great singing and some good dancing. I would not go to this production of Annie again. Maybe it was symphony hall but together it was disappointing.

  • Annie, first musical for my daughters

by MelissaFinn on 12/5/09Springfield Symphony Hall - SpringfieldRating: 4 out of 5

Was a great show but I wish that it was even just an hour earlier. My girls both LOVE Annie but were not able to make it to past 10 to see the whole show which was a bit of a disappointment. Wish they offered a matinee for the younger ones but the show itself was great. Great cast and the music was perfect!

Great show! My six year old son and nine year old daughter loved it! I recommend seeing Annie if it comes to your area.

  • Annie Play was Terrific

The orphan children and Miss Hannigan were absolutely terrific. Annie had just the sweetest singing voice. All performers were topped knotched! Don't miss this show if it comes to your area!

Extraordinary. But the original story was changed. It was a Christmas story.

  • Annie

I used to go to Toby's quite frequent but have not been for a while for various reasons. I have never been disappointed, not then and not now. Annie was well done and well performed. The young lady that played Annie did a great job as did Daddy Warbucks. I thoughts the entire cast provided a wonderfully enjoyable night. As always, WELL DONE!! Thank You

  • Really Enjoyable Experience

by AnniversaryPair on 11/16/09Toby's Dinner Theatre Columbia - ColumbiaRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I have celebrated our wedding anniversary for the last 3 years at Toby's Dinner Theater (either Baltimore or Columbia). We have enjoyed every show we have attended, including the food. This year we attended "Annie" in Columbia. The comments made at our table during the show were the exceptional acting talent of the children who participated in the show (including, of course, Annie). The adults were also well cast to provide a good story line for the plot. I particularly appreciated the professional acting of Joey who played the billionaire in the show. Perhaps this was because he served our table. I understand from the program that Joey also knew the original writer of Annie. Additionally, the dog also seemed to bark along with the music. This all made a very enjoyable evening for my wife and I.

  • Super evening

Annie is terrific. Daddy Warbucks is super and the humor is great. As always the food was tasty (except the green beans - tasted more like rubber). The children are adorable and are obviously having fun. This evening will take you away from all concerns and put a smile on your face - GO!
