This was just as I had hoped. My granddaughter was dazzled. My daughter had enjoyed it as a child, and we were eager for her daughter to experience the same.

A Mom & Daughter's Dream
by SallieCat on 1/18/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5The play and the day was unforgettable! The performance was absolutely professional; the actors and actresses played their parts to the fullest with unbelievable enthusiasm. I was most impressed with the attendants at the Fox. They made it a special day for children!
NOT Family friendly!!!
by alpharetta2 on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5Unless you want your kids coming home saying "Damn," don't waste the money. Before intermission, Daddy Warbucks utters the profanity 11 times. And the manager offered no assurance the second half would be curse free. So we left instead of risking the new addition to our kid's vocabulary. Some of you probably think I'm being a prude. But when you've got a theater full of kids (as young as 2 years) even the tamest of profanities is unacceptable. At the very least, the production company should disclose this in the advertising (we looked) so parents can make an informed purchase.
Annie
by SurprisedMama on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5Annie is a timeless story that little girls everywhere have enjoyed for generations. My six year old daughter knows the story by heart and we were elated it was coming to the Fox Theater in Atlanta. What a perfect venue for a perfect girl's day! The show was pure joy! The children were amazing, along with the set design. It was a perfect retelling of a favorite story. My only qualm was the amount of profanity included. As I looked around the theater, I was surrounded by hundreds of young girls with their bright faces and fancy dresses. Was it really necessary to include those words? The first few times can be easily overlooked. However, after the 15th, it becomes an issue. Do you really think it helped enhance the telling of such a magnificent story? We had a perfectly wonderful day and like I said, the show was fantastic. However, the rain in Atlanta was not the only thing that brought a damper. On the way home, I had to explain to my daughter that young ladies do not use those words. What a sad coincedence, that on the same day we got to make some memories that will last a lifetime, I had to explain to her that there are some words that are completely and forever off limits. Surely, the writers/ producers do not think this is a show that draws an older crowd. If they do, then they need to spend some time sitting in the audience themselves.
What a great time for the whole family!
by DSCP on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5This play is great for all ages! None of us had ever seen the show before, and we all agreed upon walking out it was just great. The actors were very talented, and each one of us had a favorite scene/song. Well done!
Annie was amazing!
by flowergirl0929 on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5My daughter and I really enjoyed this musical. The cast was outstanding, the musical was funny yet touching!
Annie was great!
by GoSignal on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5The play was fantastic. I have to give the play 5 stars because the show was amazing. The cast was extremely talented and the sets were top notch. My only complaint is that the crowd was filled with children who were too young to be in a theatre, despite the fact that it was "Annie". If a child isn't going to watch the play, then why take them? All that did was ruin the show for others. Children beside and behind my wife and daughter and I were talking the entire time, usually asking if they could go, and their parents just let them continue. If a child can't sit in a movie theatre where the tickets are $10, why take them to a theatre where people paid $70 for their seat and ruin it for them?
Annie is timeless
by doctormark on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5The most fun you can have as an adult while pretending to be a kid. A great musical that leaves with a tune in your head after the show.
Fantastic show!
by ittygirlsmom on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5We loved Annie! The only complaint I have is they dropped "damn" about 10-15 times. The theater was filled with little kids, not very appropriate.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance of Annie at the Fox Theatre. However, I do believe it would have been just as amazing without the foul language that was used quite frequently. I was shocked to hear the use of such words in a show that is known to attract so many children!

Show was awesome! My family loved it; the only complaint is I was shocked that they had curse words in the play; just a few but the play would have been just as awesome without any foul language; I would still recommend the show. It was very good!
Annie - our opinon...
by CindyOMarietta on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5Everyone in the cast was incredible EXCEPT for the kid playing Annie. We were VERY disappointed in the vocal abilities of this kid - the shrilling sounds and often nasal singing were very annoying. This is the worst Theatre of the Stars production I've ever been to.
Annie
by Anonymous on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5We loved it! Annie had a great Broadway voice and was a very good actress.
Annie was INCREDIBLE!!
by beachdreamer on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5I took my 4 year old daughter to see Annie- it's been her favorite movie for the past 2 years. She was beyond excited when she found out what our "surprise" was and beamed the entire time we watched! The cast was incredible, even down to Sandy!! We'll definitely watch for it again next year! My only 2 complaints are minor- not enough boosters so my daughter sat in my lap and made a warm environment even hotter; second, the lids for the drinks didn't fit well- mine tipped slightly and I lost it all. I noticed others' drinks were spilling around us as well. No biggie but we wasted money on a seat and drink!!
Family Friendly Annie a Hit!
by MariettaMom on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5We took our daughter (7) and son (5). Our daughter could sit for the entire show, and even through the intermission. However, even for a well-behaved, intrigued 5-year-old, the show was too long and went through lunch hour. The performers, choreography, live orchestra and musicality were a HUGE hit!
Annie was cute
by Meshelle on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5The play was cute, the girls did a great job playing the roles. If you were at all in love withthe original movie you will be highly disapointed by the characters of rooster and the Lily St Regis characters. But I guess no one can beat Bernadete Peters in the original. The Miss Hanagan character stole the show. The dog was cute, but not in enough scenes.
Annie was wonderful but not the Fox seating
by Anonymous on 1/17/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5The show was good and the actors can sing very well, but the seats at the fox are not very raised so you have to look at the persons head in front of you or look around them, it was kinda frustrating after 3 hours,
