The cast was talented, veryenergetic, they grabbed my attention from the beginning to the very end. Though I had seen Annie previously in London, this presentation was equally as good.

It was a great show - even better than when I saw as a child years ago. My 5 yr old daughter had a blast and sang all the songs. The magic of Annie is still alive!

  • Annie not family friendly

by zrjsval on 1/17/12Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

Our family of 6 left the show, ANNIE, at intermission. We counted 10 curse words before intermission!!! We were not the only families to leave and we could hear murmuring in the crowd around us each time a curse word was used. It was my 11 yr olds first time to go to the Fox Theater. We were told that Theater to the Stars used the original screen play and the words are in it. I went home and watched the 25th anniversary edition and only counted 2 curse words in the whole movie!!! What a shame!! I looked around the Fox theater and saw so many children with their parents. If we stay and listen, they will not get the message. You don't need the bad language to make a production a success.

I was amazed at how well the children performed. Just adorable. A Broadway classic delivered as, well, a Broadway classic. Highly entertaining.

I really enjoyed Sally Struthers as Miss Hannigan. There seemed to be an excessive amount of orphans but overall it was an enjoyable show. I also thought Mr. Warbux did an excellent job!

Totally perfect. Mary Peeples as Annie was the most incredable voice that I have heard in a long time. I wish she would play Mary Lenox in "Secret Garden".

We travelled six hours to see the show and it was well worth the drive! Sally Struthers was fabulous.

Annie has always been my favorite musical and this show did not disappoint. Since it comes every other year to the Fox I sometimes forget if certain scenes were in or taken out of a previous show. For this performance, I feel they left out a scene at the radio station while looking for Annie's parents but, I could be wrong. My friend and I had good seats but they were taken by two mothers and their two daughters. We informed them that were in our seats and even though they looked irked, they moved down to their original seats. There was little interference from ushers. A lot of kids were there so there was some rustling in seats but nothing that disrupted the performance. The cast was good but a few times their microphones went low and it was hard to hear them. An overall good show though, I cannot not wait to see it again.

I took my 10-year-old daughter, and we both enjoyed the show. However, I wouldn't suggest this play for children much younger than 10. The storyline would be a bit wearing on children younger than that. But we both enjoyed the singing and dancing.

  • The cast was GREAT- Annie was unbelievable!

The cast was GREAT- Annie was unbelievable! All the actors were great. I love the energy and singing was really good. Sally Struther's raspy voice worked perfect for Ms.Hannigan. My daughter and I love this show.

  • Loved it!

I loved how the musical had a lot of local kids in it. One lady that we talked to in the bathroom had a daughter that was in the musical. She was so proud. It was so nice to see. The musical was very well done.

The play was much better than I expected. I took my wife and two young daughters and they loved it! It was my first time at the fox theater and what a great venue!

  • Great Play..A few changes!

by Anonymous on 1/17/12Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

First I will say I am a huge Annie fan so the changes to the story line did not set well with me but over all the play was very good. The music was good except when they changed the "We got Annie" song! It was opening night and they had a few kinks to work out but overall I would recommend everyone go enjoy! There were a lot of kids there. The lieel egirl next to me was about 3 and she kept hitting me. Not sure if she got it.

  • Annie was Awesome

by MommaAW on 1/17/12Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

We took our grand daughters, age 9 and 7 as part of their Christmas gift. They LOVED the show. The performers did a great job and the play was as enjoyable for adults as it was for children. We were amazed at the talent of the young girls in this play....outstanding. We believe it is better to make memories with our grandchildren than to fill their closets with stuff!!! The memories of Annie will last a lifetime!
