The entire cast and crew of Annie were amazing! We had a wonderful time and our eight year old granddaughters were thrilled!!
The costumes and performances were average. I was offended by the repetitive snide political remarks about Republicans and Democrats. I felt like I was at home turning between Fox News and CNN. The historical inferences to the New Deal opened a dialogue between myself and my daughter but the remainder was in poor taste.
The music was great, the acting was great, especially the youngsters --and Sandy, the dog! The costumes and sets were pleasing to the eye. Miss Hannigan's character fits Sally Struthers...she was funny as always. Overall, very enjoyable.
Annie was great . The songs and orchestra were awesome . To be a kids show however there was alot of use of "hell and damn" and a few political scenes that tended to lose the kids attention . But overall my 7 yr old daughter enjoyed and the dog was her favorite.
Actors were outstanding, music was spectacular! The story of Annie is touching and heartwarming, and seeing it live was a real treat (the movie can't compare!). We laughed and cried and have been singing the songs ever since.
This production of Annie was way too inappropriate for kids. The script included curse words that shocked me, as a mom, and other moms as well. There were mainly kids in the audience, and there is no need for words like ho - tel, damn, and hell, REPEATEDLY. If I were an actor I would refuse to use the words. This was not pleasant to watch for that reason. I hope other people reply and let the producers and the venue know that they need to cut those words out. You can get your point across without all of the profanity. NOT PLEASED!! I had to answer my daughter's questions after about why that happened!!
Annie was incredible. The sound was crystal clear, the sets and costuming were wonderful, and the cast was amazing. Mary Peeples as Annie is definitely a rising star in musical theatre, what talent!!!
I took my 11 year old granddaughter to see Annie. She loved it and I did, too! I didn't realize she had been studying the Great Depression in social studies and was familiar with the time period, which made it more relevant for her.
Excellent storyline; good vocals and music...very entertaining!
It was fun and funny! Mrs Hannigan is a hoot. Love her! Annie, such a beautiful voice, which made me tear up a few times. I love the set design.
I took my twin 5yr old girls and they were throughly entertained. Annie's voice was amazing. A definate must see
Really enjoyed seeing my granddaughters face when the dog came out and when all the girls sang. Thought it was a little too long
Great show........ treble in sound was a little "high".... I sat on front row of Loge, and all the "treble" sounds were high/loud...... I know sound check is always done efficiently...... just my two cents as a musician
Great family show! All of the actor/actresses did a wonderful job. The music was great!
What a great show for the family. The music was awesome and Sally Struthers did an excellent rendition of Ms. Hannagan. It was a unforgettable evening for my 5 year old daughter.
Annie at the Fox put on by Theatre of the Stars was superb!! The acting was wonderful and large, the singing by the orphans and Annie was beautiful. My children were entertained and hated for it to end. The show ended yesterday, hope you got to see it.
Seeing Annie at The Fox Theatre was absolutely wonderful! The talent was great and I left the production feeling so good. Great for all ages.
The kids in this show were amazing! Couldn't stop smiling!
The play was great. I attended with my best friends and my granddaughter. It was my granddaughter's first play and she was enthralled. The show was very entertaining and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! My only complaint about the seats would be the patrons who returned from Intermission late and blocked our view for a few minutes.
I took my 8 year old girl and 6 year old neice. I was not happy with the amount of "unnecessary" words. It was just really uncalled for. Damn this, dammit that; really, just not necessary. I am normally easy to please (really), but just didn't have much to say for this. The length was too long even for me as the adult. Some of the scenes were quite boring (or maybe should have been shortened): Bum scene, political scene... Overall, I rated this fair. The singing was good, I did enjoy Sally Struthers and the orphans girls were great! I thought the selection for Annie was very good also.
