ANDERSON EAST IN CONCERT:
Anderson East taps into the spirit of an old school gospel revival every time he takes the stage to perform his spiritually moving R&B. In concert East dances around stage to his uplifting anthems while his gifted backing players turn out soul, blues, and country with undeniable chops. The band is always on point, but it’s the singer’s soaring melodies and trademark bluesy grit that are sure to win over ticket buyers on fan favorites like “Satisfy Me”, “Find ‘Em, Fool ‘Em, Forget ‘Em”, and “The Devil in Me”. With his killer vocals and old school style, Anderson East always impresses fans with a truly soulful R&B spectacle every time he tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Anderson East, aka Michael Anderson, was born in Athens, GA in 1988. Though there weren’t many opportunities for aspiring musicians in his hometown, something clicked when a neighbor showed up at his door with a guitar. East began writing his own music as soon as he picked up the instrument, and he already had a wealth of material to draw from when he self-released his 2009 debut EP Closing Credits for a Fire. He switched to the more memorable moniker Anderson East the following year for his second EP Fire Demons. For his 2012 full-length debut Flowers for the Broken Hearted, East flew to Los Angeles to record with a cast of top-notch studio musicians. There, his powerful live performances further fueled his rise. Producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell) caught one of East’s live performances and insisted on helming the sessions for the singer’s 2015 major label debut Delilah. That record helped introduce Anderson East to a wider audience, and his soulful and dynamic live shows continue to convert listeners across the country.
Love his voice and soulful sound. Would love to see him in concert if he makes it to Southern California (San Diego).
Anderson East was awesome! Will go back Next time!
Opening act was Terrific and Anderson East put on a fabulous show...beer prices were a lil steep was like festival prices was the only downer
Anderson is one artist that is better in person because Anderson is an experience! His vocals are insane and his band is unbelievable. Anderson is constantly exploring with the music and is 100% engaged with what is happening. He creates a shared experience. I love how he is combining soul, rock, and jazz. He set the place on fire! I had no doubt that he left it all on the stage. Anderson never phones it in.
Going to an Anderson East concert is like going to a true southern church! You just leave all hyped up and full of spirit. He really puts on an amazing show!
Concert itself was great. Anderson played both new and familiar tunes. Had never been to Walker Theatre before. Intimate (relative to most in Atlanta) Theatre but well laid out. If you are seating too close the sound goes around you. Only issue was with Ticketmaster. I had been requesting VIP tickets they cut off on original show. I did have regular tickets in the second row, which was one of the rows for VIP tickets. Customer Service only went in circles sending me back to website which blocked VIP tickets. Thanks to Aaron Raitiere, the opening act, I was able to get Anderson East's signature on a photograph of Anderson and my late wife from 2018. Something I will frame and cherish.
We love Anderson East. They are amazing and never disappoint. This is my 6th time seeing him and one of my favorites. Aaron Raitiere was wonderful and such a great time. Two thumbs up :)
This was my 5th time seeing Anderson East in concert!!! This venue was my favorite. So up close and personal. Anderson brings his best every time and leaves it all on the stage. The crowds here are a mixture of age groups and I love THAT. So easy to get in and get out. Look forward to another concert there very soon.
The concert was wonderful. Anderson East on a heck of a show. He's got a soulful voice a great band to go along with it. I highly recommend.
The music was muddy. the vocals were hard to make out until he went full volume. Too much bass across all instruments...Musicians did well. Opening act was wildly entertaining
