ANDERSON EAST IN CONCERT:

Anderson East taps into the spirit of an old school gospel revival every time he takes the stage to perform his spiritually moving R&B. In concert East dances around stage to his uplifting anthems while his gifted backing players turn out soul, blues, and country with undeniable chops. The band is always on point, but it’s the singer’s soaring melodies and trademark bluesy grit that are sure to win over ticket buyers on fan favorites like “Satisfy Me”, “Find ‘Em, Fool ‘Em, Forget ‘Em”, and “The Devil in Me”. With his killer vocals and old school style, Anderson East always impresses fans with a truly soulful R&B spectacle every time he tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Anderson East, aka Michael Anderson, was born in Athens, GA in 1988. Though there weren’t many opportunities for aspiring musicians in his hometown, something clicked when a neighbor showed up at his door with a guitar. East began writing his own music as soon as he picked up the instrument, and he already had a wealth of material to draw from when he self-released his 2009 debut EP Closing Credits for a Fire. He switched to the more memorable moniker Anderson East the following year for his second EP Fire Demons. For his 2012 full-length debut Flowers for the Broken Hearted, East flew to Los Angeles to record with a cast of top-notch studio musicians. There, his powerful live performances further fueled his rise. Producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell) caught one of East’s live performances and insisted on helming the sessions for the singer’s 2015 major label debut Delilah. That record helped introduce Anderson East to a wider audience, and his soulful and dynamic live shows continue to convert listeners across the country.

    Worth the wait!

by Angie on 3/8/22Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

We've been looking forward to this tour for so long! While I was very, very disappointed Foy Vance was not the opener as he was scheduled to be when the St. Louis date was originally announced and then cancelled, the opener that we did get was fun, talented, and refreshing. Anderson and his band however never, ever disappoints. He is so engaging and takes his audience on a full ride of emotions during his performance, from angst with If You Keep Leaving Me to complete joy in nostalgia with his version of Everybody Wants to Rule the World. This is absolutely the most underrated artist in today's music scene.

    Out of this world

by TSpec on 3/7/22Delmar Hall - Saint Louis

This was my first time seeing, Anderson East. I’ve loved his music for the last few years, but this show wildly exceeded my expectations. His voice and the passion he puts into the performance was unbelievable. Also, being able to see him at such a small venue was amazing. Wish I could go back and see it all over again!

First time seeing Anderson East live-Awesome!

    by d. Y. on 3/1/22Bogart's - Cincinnati

I saw him at Bogarts in Cincinnati. He voice sounded amazing. The brass accompaniment definitely was a plus. This show was rescheduled from Dec. I was in AZ, but decided to come home 4 days early so not to miss the concert. I left 80 degree weather but it was absolutely worth it! I can't wait to see him in concert again!!!!

    Anderson East

by Colleen on 1/31/22Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston

I would have gone to every show if he played multiple sets. Unreal. The tempo of the show was perfect, the songs were better live than even the recorded versions and we danced all night. Unlike other artists, you could actually hear every word he sang was perfectly clear. Cannot wait for his next show

    great concert

by dell on 12/4/21Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

Anderson East put on a great show the only complaint i have is i paid for platinum tickets and the venue moved the show to a smaller area with no seating so I felt that I paid to much for the tickets.

Anderson East at the Ryman, Nashville, TN

by adorabull on 11/16/21Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Pretty good show, in terms of musicians and effort, however Anderson and his sound technician do not understand the acoustics at the Ryman. Loud music just muddies the sound in that building. If Anderson had been in the audience he would have heard what we heard. So much was lost and it was not the show we anticipated because of that. Lots of artisits use electric guitars and amps at the Ryman, but volume is not the key to this venue. Disappointed to say the least.

    Anderson East

by Witch on 11/16/21Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Anderson was GREAT! Unfortunately, the bass was so insanely loud that it drowned him out and you couldn’t hear much of what he was singing. It was very disappointing, but not the band’s fault. Foy Vance was wonderful!
