ANDERSON EAST IN CONCERT:

Anderson East taps into the spirit of an old school gospel revival every time he takes the stage to perform his spiritually moving R&B. In concert East dances around stage to his uplifting anthems while his gifted backing players turn out soul, blues, and country with undeniable chops. The band is always on point, but it’s the singer’s soaring melodies and trademark bluesy grit that are sure to win over ticket buyers on fan favorites like “Satisfy Me”, “Find ‘Em, Fool ‘Em, Forget ‘Em”, and “The Devil in Me”. With his killer vocals and old school style, Anderson East always impresses fans with a truly soulful R&B spectacle every time he tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Anderson East, aka Michael Anderson, was born in Athens, GA in 1988. Though there weren’t many opportunities for aspiring musicians in his hometown, something clicked when a neighbor showed up at his door with a guitar. East began writing his own music as soon as he picked up the instrument, and he already had a wealth of material to draw from when he self-released his 2009 debut EP Closing Credits for a Fire. He switched to the more memorable moniker Anderson East the following year for his second EP Fire Demons. For his 2012 full-length debut Flowers for the Broken Hearted, East flew to Los Angeles to record with a cast of top-notch studio musicians. There, his powerful live performances further fueled his rise. Producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell) caught one of East’s live performances and insisted on helming the sessions for the singer’s 2015 major label debut Delilah. That record helped introduce Anderson East to a wider audience, and his soulful and dynamic live shows continue to convert listeners across the country.

Anderson East - Great Show / Great Venue

by TommyFW on 11/14/16The Underground - Charlotte

First time at the Underground. The accoustics are definitely not as good as some of the other venues - however it's a very intimate venue and truly a great place to see your favorite acts. Both Anderson East & Brent Cobb put on great shows

    Don't miss Anderson East

by WhataWomanWantstoHear on 11/13/16Birchmere - Alexandria

Humble, sweet, sexy, and a voice that defies gravity. Five days after the show and I am still blown away by Anderson's artistry. His take on rhythm and blues, the choices he makes with his voice, the way the music moves through him and moves the audience...If he's playing in your area, don't miss it!

Hands down one of the best new artist. His down to earth personality is contagious and refreshing. Oh by the way the vocals, note that I'm a straight male, made my knees buckle a few times.

Anderson East is electric on stage!

by CinOhioFan on 2/21/1620th Century Theater - Cincinnati

If James Brown, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Elvis crashed into Willie Nelson, out of the smoke and wreckage would emerge Anderson East and his amazing musicians. Soulful voice, grit, sex appeal, stage presence and kick-ass musicians make Anderson East the most exciting and unique artist I have seen many, many years! Anderson, produce a music video for The Devil in Me! It is the perfect song to introduce you to fans who might otherwise have a devil of a time getting to know you.

    Music needs Anderson East

by Rosebud369 on 2/20/16The Club at Stage AE - Pittsburgh

Mr. East has an awesome stage presence, capable of filling a huge venue with character and charisma, or wrapping songs around the hearts of everyone in a small venue. I am lucky to have experienced the energy of both. His performance at Stage AE 2/16/16 was exceptional, I would have stayed and listened all night if he had kept playing. His vocals pull you in, sit you down, hand you a bourbon and tell you to relax,... while the brass and drums melt away the stress of the day and remind you to appreciate where you are at that moment. Sounds metaphoric but its true in this fan's experience. I ( and all those I brought with me) cannot wait until we can see him again! His band, Drums, the reverand, the guitar were sublime - and the opener was a perfect pair, also veryyyy enjoyable.

Energetic Show - Entire band is great

by AndersonGotSoul on 2/19/16The Club at Stage AE - Pittsburgh

They have a very good studio album, but this is a typical band that really turns it up in concert. Their album can be mellow at times, but when they are on stage they crank it up from the first bar. Anderson has a great stage presence as well as the rest of the band. Anderson and company are always back at the merch table after the show signing merch for fans and posing for pictures too. You'll be extremely disappointed if you miss another one of their shows.

Anderson East put on a great show that kept the audience entertained and full of energy! He had some extremely talented musicians, and they all looked like they were having as much fun as we were. After the show Anderson made time to meet his fans and spoke to each one. He was such a nice guy!

by Volkie on 2/16/16Bowery Ballroom - New York

Anderson East show was great. He is a gifted songwriter and performer. See him while you can before he goes to larger less personal venues where you will not be able to be up close.

    One word- Phenomenal

by BlakelyLindsay on 2/16/16Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Anderson is an artist that can not only sing, but put on a show!! He sounds great on his album, but it does no justice to a live performance. You can tell he is there to engage fans in his music, emphasize his lyrics, and rock the house! His band does exactly the same as well! All in all, I would go see him a thousand times over!
