About

Whitney Houston was a true legend.

Her rich, powerful voice is adored by millions and has spawned an entire industry of gospel-influenced pop singing. She's won six Grammys and two Emmys, sold more than 20 million records worldwide, and ranks as one of the best-selling music artists in history.

Houston's career began with a modest upbringing in Newark, New Jersey. In 1981, she became the lead singer for a group called The New Edition, which was known for its popular radio hits. She soon went on to pursue a solo career and released her debut album in 1985. Over the next 30 years she would have several more No. 1 hits on the Billboard charts, including "How Will I Know," "Saving All My Love for You," and, of course, her version of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You."

It would be hard to overstate the impact Houston had on the music industry throughout her career. She set records that still stand today. She holds the record as the only artist to have seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hits. She has seven consecutive multi-platinum albums -- six studio albums and a soundtrack album, all released within a 10-year period. And, she was the first artist to have seven consecutive No. 1 hits and the first female artist to enter the Billboard 200 at No. 1. Whitney became known as The Voice for good reason: her vocal range made her a powerhouse even among powerhouses.

She also starred in a number of blockbuster movies, including The Bodyguard (for which she also recorded the theme song), Waiting to Exhale, The Preacher's Wife (for which she won two NAACP Image Awards), and more.

Houston's life and career have come to represent the best of a generation. Her voice, her songs and her stage presence have inspired millions around the world. Although we lost her in 2012, the magic of her presence lives on in her music.

Now, that magic is coming to a stage near you with An Evening With Whitney Houston: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert. This immersive experience combines cutting-edge digital technology with incredible light displays and 3D sound design to create an unparalleled experience. Houston's hologram is superimposed over live dancers to give you the sensation that you're actually there with her as she performs some of her most famous songs.

This performance is a unique opportunity to celebrate one of the most iconic artists in music history. Audiences can expect an extraordinary evening that delivers all the thrilling vocals and emotions for which Whitney Houston was renowned.

    Whitney Hologram concert

by Nana Patti on 4/9/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I was very excited but a little apprehensive on how realistic it would be. After a few minutes of hearing Whitney’s beautiful voice I almost forget it was not her. My husband is an engineer so he paid more attention to the technology. It definitely was worth it. I would recommend getting a table midway back if possible.

    It's not Whitney!

by Carlito 45 on 4/9/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The hologram seemed disproportion in size to the dancers. They use recordings of Whitney singing live so that was good, but at the end of the day it was just recordings of Whitney, not Whitney.

Go see it! It is Worth it! Don't Miss it!

by Girl From Vallejo on 4/9/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Anyone who knows Whitney Houston, knows her voice was a godsend. The concert was fantastic. I especially liked that there were live musicians and live dancers. The only one not alive was Whitney. But the Hologram was really better than I expected. She looked as fabulous as ever. The only thing I wish is that they would've made the hologram just a tiny bit bigger to make the ratio to the dancers perfect. She was tall enough but just a little too small. But that didn't take away from my enjoyment of the entire concert. I actually cried because some of her songs are so beautiful (i.e. The Greatest Love of All). This concert is worth it go see it!

    Great show

by Nanette on 4/8/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The Whitney Houston show was great! There was a live band and dancers that gave the effect of a live concert.

Nice concert but live band too loud

by Tomi on 4/7/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The Whitney Houston Hologram concert was nicely done. It was great to hear Whitney's voice singing her songs. My only complaint is with the live band especially the drummer, it was too loud and over powdered Whitney's voice.

Wish her Silhouette had been a little bit bigger so her face shows up clearer. There were too many dancers .

Opportunity- future generations can attend a Whitney concert

by Blabs on 4/1/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Whitney's holographic concert was an opportunity to see the greatness of one of the best, if not the best, female vocalists ever. Hit after hit with perfect lip syncing, arm movements, facial expressions, and dancing made this a show to remember. Unfortunately, the live band and backup singers/dancers were way over the top and distracted the audience who wanted to focus on Whitney

    completely disappointed

by Dana Dane on 4/1/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

After seeing Michael Jackson's hologram and others on stage I was really ready for this show. This was terrible. A blurry, faded image of Whitney Houston on a screen is all you get. Her image matched nothing on the stage at all. Probably the worse show I have ever seen in Vegas over the past 40 years and I've seen them all.

Amazing evening, so much better than I expected.

by Ian UK on 3/30/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

What an amazing evening. I was not too sure what to expect and how it would look. I was pleasantly surprised and loved it. The holograms of Whitney looked so life like it was like she was actually there on the stage. Never got the chance to see her previously so this more than made up for it. Was actually quite emotional. If you get the chance, go, you won’t regret it.

    Ticket Resale

by JBA on 3/16/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I didn't actually get to attend this show. Due to a positive COVID test and I was having to travel, via airline, to Las Vegas to attend this show, I decided it was prudent not to travel and attend the show. I listed my tickets for sale with Ticketmaster and this is where my issue stems from, the listing process. When I listed my tickets for sale, the site asks for a price you'd like to list them for and tells you what range of prices seats around you are selling for at that time. Accordingly, I attempted to pick a price in the upper middle of the range of tickets for sale. Unfortunately, when I tried to do so, the site told me that I had to have a minimum price of $92.00, which was actually more than I had paid for them originally and a lot more than the Ticketmaster site was telling me other tickets for sale around me were priced at right now. Every time I tried to set a lower price it wouldn't let me list them for sale. Since I wasn't able to attend, I was just hoping to recover some of my ticket cost. But, as I was unable to set a price lower or comparable price to what tickets were selling around me on the secondary market, I realized that my tickets would never sell, especially at a price that was more than I had paid for them. Since there was only a few days before the show I left the listing active knowing they would never sell. As a result, I was very unhappy with the Ticketmaster resale option and the enforced inability, through their pricing scheme, to recover at least some of my cost due to a late date issue causing me to cancel my Vegas trip. I don't think how Ticketmaster handled this was fair and equitable in attempting to use their resale option for my tickets.

    A little bit weird

by Mike on 3/12/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I didn't know what to expect as it was my first Hologram concert. I knew most of the songs of course as Whitney transcended all musical genres. The projection of Hologram Whitney looked ok but seemed small when compared to the band and dancers. The scale seemed a little off. Some in the crowd really got into it, not so much for me. The whole thing felt a little off. The Greatest Love of All song seems a bit sad given the tragic deaths of Whitney and her daughter.

    Met Expectations

by Creekman on 3/11/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Of course, the music was great. The sound system was just okay. The hologram was amazing. The problem was the obvious lack of connection between entertainer and the audience.

by S. C. on 3/9/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The performance was great. The dancers were great. Loved the music. Loved Whitney. But….it was very, very loud. Way to loud!!! Had to turn my hearing aids off and it was still too loud!

    AMAZING

by K. D. on 3/9/22Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The show was absolutely AMAZING! If you’ve ever wanted to see her in concert, I say go! Most of the time at the bigger concert venues you end up staring at the screens to get a bigger view. This isn’t any different except you are close! She sang most of her hits and I would go back, again!
