AMERICA IN CONCERT:
Iconic folk rockers America have been performing to sold out crowds since the '70s, treating generations of fans to genre classics like “A Horse With No Name” and “Sister Golden Hair." Considered a top-shelf touring act, the band thrilled fans with the announcement of a 2014 coast-to-coast U.S. tour of their greatest hits.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
“The concert was exceptional. The band has not missed a lick in 42 years, which is how long it has taken me to finally see my favorite band.”
“They are just as good as when I first saw them in 1976, and I will continue to see them year after year… Their voices never seem to change, and in addition to all of their popular hits, they sang less popular songs from their albums, which I loved.”
“Played all their big hits and then some, with covers of "California Dreamin" by The Mamas and The Papas and "‘Til I Hear It from You" by the Gin Blossoms—a surprise. They sounded excellent from start to finish.”
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Gerry Beckley, Dewey Burnell and Dan Peek were barely out of high school when they first made a splash in the British folk-rock scene as America. Not only did they score an international hit with “A Horse With No Name,” but they took home the 1972 Grammy for Best New Musical Artist. A string of additional hits would follow, including “Ventura Highway,” “Daisy Jane,” “Tin Man” and “Lonely People.” In 2007, the band surprised fans with Here & Now -- their first album release since 1998's Human Nature -- earning praise from critics and kicking-off another successful tour. In 2011, America once again headed into the studio to record Back Pages, a collection of covers including renditions of songs by Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and the Gin Blossoms.

What a wonderful evening LOVED being able to see and hear AMERICA live, however I was shocked that the concert was only 1.5 hours start to finish.
I loved the venue. Perfect size for a concert. America was great, singing songs that I remembered so well. The only improvement would be to have more help at the concession stands. Missed some of the show waiting in a really long line with only one person working. He did a great job, just wished he had help.
Loved the venue. Crowd was amazing. Unfortunately I was not overly thrilled with the Band. Left out some amazing popular hits and only played for approximately 1 hour and 40 min. For the price of the ticket that isn’t reasonable. Can’t justify that one.
I have seen America the band maybe 20 times in 50 years . Always, always it is a great show. The show this weekend in Cleveland was no exception. And the meet and greet was a class act not rushed and welcoming . See the bands you love, time passes so quickly.
Great historical venue and excellent concert a remembrance of super music and talent
Venue was excellent, LOVED the concert. This was our favorite concert this year
I thought america put on a.great show was my first time seeing them and was glad I got to. I really enjoy the smaller venues like the silver legacy lots of good help there...I did have troubles getting my tickets off my phone so I went back upstairs to the box office and they printed me my tickets yay..going back to see little river band in may.
Even though there was only one original band member, they sounded like the days of old! Great venue and show!!! Walking down memory lane.
This is the fourth time we have seen America, and it will not be on our list for the future. Very disappointing. It is one singer short of being a cover band. Dewey Bunnell is the only remaining member of the original America band, and there was no mention of that when tickets were purchased. We did not know that the band consisted of all relatively younger people and the sound just isn’t quite the same… you definitely could sing along, but you knew in your heart that it was ‘off’. Last time we saw them, Gerry Beckley was still with them and we had no idea he had left the group. It really should be marketed as a cover band and not America.
We will see them anytime! They sound like they did in the 70's! The venue works well. A little crowded to get out of the concert hall but not bad.
Had wanted to see them since I first heard them back in 72 never had an opportunity. I refused to miss him this time. They were fantastic sounded great Played all the favorites
It was a great show! The sound was well managed, loved the videos coordinated with the songs. Really like the smaller, up close, intomate venues. We don't normally spend money to watch performers on a screen. America was great!! Silver Legacy Reno, was very organized and staff very helpful and nice.
Intertaing, but not a fan of the venue! Chairs are uncomfortable.
I've never seen America and always wanted to because they have so many wonderful hits. I grew up listening to America on the radio 610 KFRC. The show was fantastic even though there is only one still touring the show was great Dewey Bunnel still sounds great. The set list was better than expected and the other musicians with him sounded like they were there from the beginning when America started the show really was phenomenal. I give it two thumbs up I would give more but unfortunately I was only born with two.
The concert was great. Each song one after another was a classic hit from the 70s. The video on the backdrop screen was terrific. It made the concert extra special seeing the videos from the 70s. An added special song was when the video synced Dan Peek singing the song with the band playing live. Many eyes in the venue teared up with this song.
Wonderful concert Love the venue except for prices of concessions. $8.50 for a BBQ brisket SLIDER. I actually got a soda and filled it a couple of times with water as long as the ice cubes lasted.
First off I want to say how extremely easy it eas to access my tickets to get in! A very nice theater! The acoustics and vocals were amazing! If you have never experienced America live, I would highly recommend that you experience their show!
Love this venue however the curtains on the side of the stage obstructed our view. We were in row 105 section B seats 6 and 7 .I would have purchased different seats had I known about the lack of view. All else was great!
FANTASTIC sounding show! Can't believe how great Dewey Bunnell's voice is! WOW. and what a fun group of musicians/singers. However, there were several hits they did not play and it was over before 2 hours. Would have liked to hear more than 1 encore song.
