Amateur Night At The Apollo Tickets

My first time at the theatre although The Apollo is a household name to many of us children of the 70's. I won't say I was impressed. That would be too much of an understatement. From the door attendants, to the MCs to the DJ, to the lady attending the restroom. Oh my goodness, this place stands toe to toe with any other world class venue. I was there to see my son compete with others and, yes, HE WON!! The Apollo loved him and I will be back!

This was my dad, sister (both from Houston) and my first visit to the Apollo. It was soooo... much fun. The show was interactive, host was hilarious and the performances were all great. I really liked how the audience was encouraged to show love for each other by holding hands with their neighbor and uplifting the confidence of the kids who performed. Love...Love...Love the preshow with the old school songs played by the DJ. Would definitely come again.

Im very glad to have taken the opportunity to buy tickets to the Apollo it was very well worth it. Capone did an awesome job hosting the event..he was too funny!...also, the talents that were on stage was amazing..I especially bought the tickets for that night as a b-day gift for my special 14yrs old daughter to see special guest Diggy. .she enjoyed it!!..☺..I would def go back..✌

I was so amazed by the talent and quality of the performers! Truly an amazing experience. Highly recommended to everyone of all ages.

Amateur Night was amazing. It was the most fun I have had in NYC.

If the host didn't make us hold hands with the people sitting next to us, I would have been overly concerned with the fact that my long legs and wide hips were pressing too much into the big guy next to me...but our row was like a family reunion. We were arguing over booing or not and getting our groove on. Such talented people, from the "amateurs" to the house band. Loved it!

From minute one till the end it was one big party! Humor, dance, great audience, great entertainmeny! Better than a musical

From the start to the end it was great, amazing, wow, unforgettable and beter than The Voice in Holland. The three young ones where super cool! And of course the last woman. What a voice wow and of course a great song!

This was my second time at The Apollo. First time I was in the balcony but last week I was in the 6th row where the audience is a bit calmer, more reserved. Both occasions were fun. Since last week was Top Dog the talent was good so the Executioner didn't need to do his job.

We went there with a group of friends, it was the first time for everyone. We loved everything, the ambiance, the place, the MC's and the band...Comedian Capone is great...we will definitely go back there and recommend the place to friends. Thank you Apollo!

This show is awesome. Definitely top rate and first class. It is a must see. You are sure to have a good time and enjoy it from the time you enter the historic theater until you leave this breath taking door front. Non-stop fun and excitement from the first strike of the first beat of music.

A must see. The apollo audience is always great and the host will make your sides hurt.

Fun and fabulous. From the child talent to the ahhhh, varied, adult talent, this is a must-see NY experience. My only complaint is that they stretched maybe 30+ minutes of actual talent part into 2 hours. I wanted it to go longer and have more acts.

This was a fun evening ! Best part is sitting in an iconic venue where all the great soul and R & B acts have appeared over the years. Loved the warm up act and the house band. Compere was funny and excellent in getting brilliant audience participation. The amateurs were "some good"- " some bad" but that's part of the experience. It's good to boo sometimes.

Mostly great talent with a wonderful M.C. and comedian.

This is a place that was once celebrated and is now entirely commercialised

The House Band, Announcers, and Hosts are amazing. We were all moving in our seats. Such great energy. I felt like I was in an old southern Gospel Church and the Holy Spirit was rooooollllin'. when the talent came on, it was just so much fun. the kids were great and the adults too. It's so much more authentic than American Idol, but is a similar type situation (except YOU are the judge). There are people there from all over the world which makes it really cool, but you definitely get that old Harlem vibe which I just love. There are great restaurants all around too if you want a bite or drink after. We had cocktails at Red Rooster post show and ended up dancing with all these amazing dancers who were in town from Africa. It was a wonderful night, and I was still home early enough to not feel exhuasted the next day for work.
