Alvin Ailey Dance Theater Tickets

While Revelations is always amazing to watch and highlights the physicality and grace of the dancers while inspiring the soul, the first two sections of the performance were unusually weak. We come to see movement and rhythm, not a photo collage with a voice over. The choreography was uninspired and stifled the amazing talent of the dancers. I've see Alvin Ailey about ten times over the years, and this was the first time I ever left disappointed.

If you've never seen the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater perform, I suggest you go. It was stunning and breathtaking. I was deeply moved by all of the performances and it was a joy to watch. From the dancers, the costumes, the music.....everything was great. I would go see them again and I will!!

I've been wanting to catch this show for years, but something always came up. This year, I committed to going & purchased tix for wife and friends. We all loved it. The music was fab, colors were flambouant, dancers were polished. I hope to make this a tradition. Caught the show @ the Fox in ATL...gr8 venue!

This show was awesome. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It was definitely worth the money for the tickets. Everyone should experience the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

The first time we saw Alvin Ailey me and me now wife were on our first offical date. Didn't know what to expect that first time in 2005. Had a great time and an even better one last night. Revelations is simply AWESOME!!! Will have to make this a yearly outing. Might even take the kids next time. Great show!!

I enjoyed the show thoroughly. This was my first time going to see the show. It was nothing like I'd ever seen before. I will most definitely go and see it again. The dancers were Unbelieveable!! Their motions were so fluent and smooth.

As usual, the Alvin Ailey Dance theatre displayed incredible artistic skills. I last saw them in Frankfurt germany, and they performed to standard. This is a show you should not miss out on.

The Alvin Ailey Dance Company never cease to amaze me with old and new dance performances. This show presents dedication and hard work at it's best! I enjoyed the show!!!!

The show as a whole was great as usual. If you were a first timer to see this company perform, then it was probably outstanding. However if you have seen them before it was only good at best. The dancers are extraordinary in their ability to dance and their command of the stage. The show at times was not as precise and up to the high standards, that one is accustomed from AA dancers. It could have just been an off night. The first and second acts were amazing in interpretation and skill. The third act is somewhat predictable in a "we've seen it before" style. Although entertaining, visually and creatively, it is timeless and it is the master's signature work. Although it needs to freshened up. I would definitely see it again. However, I, (due to having followed the company for years) missed the WOW factor that I was anticipating. Kudos to the Artistic Director cannot wait until the next tour.

The setting in the FOX made it even better. However the one thing what would have made this amazing: would be adding live music/song performances to the set. Oh yes..one more thing: what is it with all the applauses during the performance sets. Seriously no need to do this with every twist and turn..and the dancers do not like this. It's not Cirque Du Soleil...

These dancers are the creme de la creme of the dance world......their power and skill sublimely displayed.....they leave everyone with mouths agape and spirits soaring......and ultimately craving more...

Creative! Strong! Awe-inspiring! Alvin Ailey DanceTheater NEVER disappoints! Don't miss this show!

Saw Alvin Ailey Dance Company yesterday evening& it just took your breath away. The grace, precission of the dancers was like watching poetry in motion. After the company did Revelations, they got a standing ovation from the crowd & was gracious enough do Revelations adgain for a few more minutes. Alvin Ailey Dance Company delivers & then some, whatever your ticket price it is more that worth the price, You will not be disappointed!!

Too avant garde not what was expected, seemed more Barnum & Bailey or Cirque de Soleil

Always love going to see the Ailey troop. The dancers are phenominal to be sure but I must admit I would like to see more Alvin Ailey choreographed dances. Revelations is always the highlight and, yes, the only one that was an Ailey piece.
