Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Tickets

My husband and I attended the Friday evening performance on May 9th at NJPAC. It was a birthday gift from my son and his girlfriend. Our seats were in the 2nd row, center. At first I thought we were too close to appreciate a full stage dance performance. I could not have been more wrong. Having seen Alvin Ailey several times before, being so close gave me greater insight into each dancer and dance performance. The costumes, the music, and the dancers were exquisite. This was my husband’s first time seeing the dance company and he loved it! After experiencing “The Edges of Ailey” exhibit at The Whitney I felt even more moved by the show. If you didn’t get to see the exhibit, order a commemorative exhibit book. This was another element of my birthday gift and it is amazing. Make sure you see Alvin Ailey the next time they perform in your area. No other modern/contemporary dance company is more skilled or more crisp in presentation of each work.

The dance was amazing and I enjoyed the show so much. The only issue I had was the seats were not great where I sat. I sat in the box seats with my grandma and when the dancers were dancing towards the back we couldn’t see. I wish those kind of seats were not offered so that we know if we can see the show or not from where we sit. Would love to see them again 😊

I’ve seen this show at NJPAC, 10 years in a row. It’s absolutely fantastic, Revelations is a masterpiece. Thank you!! I’ll be back next year

Incredible! A totally engaging night start to finish

The show was amazing and I am so happy I got to go. I found out about the show the day of and purchased my ticket a few hours before showtime. My seat was awesome and the performance was stunning! It was my first time seeing an Alvin Ailey show and it won’t be my last. It was so beautiful and the dancers move with such grace and perfection! Money well spent!

It was mesmerizing!!! We loved every minute of every act - the dancers are so impressive and the production incredibly gorgeous!

We could all use a lesson from the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, because each show brings a new experience and a new opportunity to become historically and cultural sensitive to our past, as well as to the present. I would see it again and again!

I had the pleasure and privilege of seeing one of the most spectacular performances I have ever seen in my life. The Alvin Ailey, dance troupe are among the finest dances I’ve ever witnessed. It brought me so much joyand it was uplifting also to witness. Thank you for the beautiful performances.

The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater was on their A-game. The performances were awesome. The Boch theatre was not to be outshined. What a spectacular venue.

The theatre is just beautiful and we had great seats for a reasonable price. The performance was fabulous. Parking was very easy and we had many dinner options before the show. Couldn’t have asked for a batter evening.

Alvin Ailey Company never gets old! Their newer works are always interesting and incredibly well performed, and "Revelations"is ... well ... a revelation! They come every year, so don't miss them!

I am a repeat fan of Alvin Ailey, over many years. I liked the format of the Program, which consisted of 3 segments about 30 minutes each, and 2 short intermissions. The last segment was their classic Revelations. always amazing. As there was no program handed out, I don't know what the other 2 segments were. I liked the first one which was lively and the second segment not as much, it was slower.

Alvin Ailey was fantastic whether for the first time, or 20th like me. The dance is perfection, accompanying score fits perfectly, and each dancer has a special skill that is apparent. Revelations is my favorite and brought tears thinking of all the past performances I have seen with friends and family

The movement of the artists, the innovative choreography, the music, and the dancers themselves were all superb. It's hard to choose a favorite piece from the program. Each was a standout. Bravi!

I loved the woman’s piece but on the whole I found it disconnected, the choreography and music chaotic. The dancers were excellent. Unfortunately, the heating was on at the Wang centre and although we were supplied with hand fans, it was stifling.
