I had never been to a one person show before and I was worried. But I LOVED it!!! Highly recommend!

Great topic and actress, but not that compelling of a play

by Jenn on 3/29/24Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Great topic, and the one-woman-show actress did a great job with the material she was given, but was not that exciting of a play.

    Absolutely unbelievable

by Chrre on 3/28/24Balboa Theatre - San Diego

You would think RBG was up on stage herself. She would be so proud to see this I laughed. I cried, and I had every emotion, and she covered everything that you would want to know about her as a Supreme Court Justice.

    Riveting

by Yvette on 3/27/24Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Michelle Azar was tireless in her artistic performance—she was RBG. I experienced a full range of emotions including amusement, sadness and triumph. Indeed a most memorable and relatable moment.

    Awesome and Awe Inspiring

by PQ Reviewer on 3/27/24Balboa Theatre - San Diego

The actress was as much a dynamo as RBG was herself. You almost felt as if you were in the room with RBG. Her performance was flawless and inspiring and fun too. She incorporated some of the humor and intelligence while feeling the emotions of her life. Truly an inspiring performance and well-written play. Loved it.

    Amazing performance, one woman monologue

by SurfAsh on 3/27/24Balboa Theatre - San Diego

I enjoyed this performance immensely and was impressed by both the likeness to RBG and vocal endurance that the actress presented. For those who have not read about, or seen the movies, that chronicle RBG’s professional life, this is a master class in under 2 hours. I don’t realize there would not be a break. I found my thoughts drifting in the second half. The digitized ‘playbill’ is a disappointment. 4 stars overall.

    outstanding

by Maggie on 3/27/24Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Could hear a pin drop the audience was so enraptured. Humorous, educational and insightful. Didn't matter what your political leaning is.. Would highly recommend it.

    Even Better

by DeeAy on 3/27/24Balboa Theatre - San Diego

We saw the play in Phoenix in March, 2022, and then in San Diego a year later. It was terrific the first time and was even better the second time around. A few lines have been changed/updated all for the best. The audience clapped and cheered at a number of points in the play as Michelle Azar seemed to have us in the palm of her hand as she related the trials and tribulations of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. If you still haven't seen the play (it's been touring for about a year-and-a-half), what are you waiting for? You will be very glad you did.

    Engaging and thoroughly entertaining

by Craig on 3/27/24Balboa Theatre - San Diego

A marvelous one woman show and a testimony to RBG. Sometimes it was hard to decide if the audience was applauding for the actor or for RBG herself.
