Disney’s ALADDIN is a dazzling and extravagant showcase of special effects — including a flying magic carpet during “A Whole New World” — as well as glittering-gold costumes and art deco-style sets that mirror the grandeur of a Busby Berkeley musical. One of Broadway’s most popular musical comedies, the show opened at the legendary New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, 2014, and has since broken numerous house records (grossing over $500 million on Broadway). Eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken composed the show’s music. The lyrics are by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid), as well as three-time Tony Award and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice and six-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin. The book is by Beguelin and direction/choreography is by two-time Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw.

The New Amsterdam Theatre is located on 214 West 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. There is no designated on-site parking. However, there are numerous parking options in the Broadway Theater District. Here's a link to a Google map display of the various options in the Times Square area.

I took my 12 year old daughter and this was both out first time seeing aladdin. What a great show this was. Everything about it was great, no complaints. I would actually go again. My daughter says this was he favorite show this far. I highly recommend it.

LOVED this show! I went in thinking it was more of a kids show but, wow, was I wrong! Everything was fantastic: the costumes, the choreography, the songs, the voices, the scenography. Absolutely wonderful show!!!

An amazing show. Costumes and set design were phenomenal. True enough to the original that you don’t feel cheated but with enough additions / changes that kept it fresh and added an additional dimension to the classic story. The cast were great but an extra shout out to the Genie and Iagu - who were amazing.

One of the best shows I’ve seen. The costumes were colorfully magnificent. The acting and singing were fantastic. The funny parts added were cute. Theater was beautiful and seating well arranged. Again, one of the best I’ve seen.

We chose Aladdin because we already knew the story in French. And what a great choice! The show is really amazing, with a colourful setting, great singers, dancers and costumes. Special thanks to Michael James Scott as the genie 😍 The flying carpet was pure magic (how is it even possible?) A great evening, I would recommend this musical 1000%
Aladdin was an amazing performance. Ticketmaster has a great deal with a parking company so if. you are driving to NYC, I recommend booking the parking in advance because it is SO MUCH CHEAPER when you book it in advance. I would've paid twice the amount I paid for parking if I had paid the day of the show and it was a Saturday. Make sure to arrive on time for the show as it starts promptly at the start time. Also, plan more than enough time to travel and find the theater as it is located directly on 42nd street and you will run into some crowds. If you like Aladdin you must also go and see The Lion King on Broadway. The actors work so hard and are very amazing performers. Worth every penny.
The title says it all ... Am so glad I booked this as my first Broadway show experience, especially with my two children ... Fantastic production and cast .. oh the Genie , what a performance from him, he just put the cherry on top. Go see it - you won't regret
Lovely venue. Loved the songs and vocals but the acting was a bit amateurish.
