BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Against the Current formed in New York in 2011 when young singer Chrissy Costanza joined forces with Dan Gow and Will Ferri. The group started writing songs and posting them to YouTube, and they got their first break in 2012 when their version of "Good Time" -- a cover of the Owl City and Carly Rae Jepson song recorded with YouTube sensation Alex Goot -- started racking up plays. The band released a string of singles in the early '10s including originals like "Thinking" and popular covers of Taylor Swift's "Red" and "Shake It Off", and in 2014 they released their debut EP Infinity. The 5-song collection was a perfect snapshot of the band's unique sound, drawing praise from critics and building excitement among ticket buyers for Against the Current's next round on the road.
