After 7 has been topping charts and electrifying stages with their distinctive R&B swagger for over three decades. Today, Kevon Edmonds, Keith Mitchell and Danny McClain serenade audiences with buttery smooth vocals and laid-back beats reminiscent of the old-school party vibes of the '90s. With four Top 10 R&B/hip-hop albums under their belts, the trio returns to the stage in 2022 for the aptly named Unfinished Business Tour. After 7 Live in Concert
After 7 was formed in 1988 by Indiana University students and future R&B stars Melvin Edmonds, Kevon Edmonds and Keith Mitchell. Brothers Melvin and Kevon were no strangers to fame as the older siblings of the legendary Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. With a whole lot of talent and a little help from their younger brother, the trio was able to land a deal with Virgin Records in 1989 to produce their self-titled debut album. The group quickly rose to stardom with "Heat of the Moment" reaching No. 5 on the Billboard R&B chart. Throughout the '80s and '90s, After 7's hot streak continued as their self-titled album After 7 went platinum in 1989 and Takin' My Time achieved gold status in 1992. The group split after 1995's Reflections to take a 20-year break from recording, but thankfully regrouped to tour in the mid-2000s. In 2016, After 7 hit the studio once again to release their fourth album Timeless. The group's lineup has changed over time, most notably after the death of original member Melvin Edmonds in 2019. However, the trio was restored when Danny McClain joined leading up to the release of Unfinished Business in 2021. After 7 is an NAACP Image Award recipient and have been nominated for a Grammy and American Music Award.
A great show. After 7 is a class act!!! Cincinnati turned out in large numbers and the group felt appreciative and reciprocated with a soulful performance. We’re very glad we decided to attend this show!!!
I had a wonderful time. The crowd was great and After 7 did a great performance and engaged with the audience It was my first time in Ludlow Garage but it was worth.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE AFTER 7. These gentlemen are TRULY SOMETHING SPECIAL and DEFINITELY go the EXTRA MILE to give such an AMAZING show and MUSIC. I too attended the concert in Detroit at the Motor City Casino Soundboard. The show was SPECTACULAR. After 7 LITERALLY gives their ALL on the stage. These 3 KINGS 👑 👑 👑 and their band WOW'd the crowd and kept EVERYONE on their feet with old and new music the ENTIRE TIME they were on stage. 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 I must say that I THROUGHLY enjoyed myself. People have to understand that when YOU spend your hard earned money for a show, you EXPECT perfection, and THAT'S EXACTLY what they gave US.....PERFECTION. WE (the fans) WEREN'T waiting 30 minutes for them to perform NOR did the BAND have to go CHECK ON THEM 😂😂😂😂😂. I'm a TRUE After 7 fan and supporter, and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Much love and respect to AFTER 7 from 1 out of a million of your #1 fans 😊
They're a good group and put on a nice show. But they're not that good that they should leave fans waiting over 30 minutes AFTER the stage is ready before they come out. Band members had to go check on them. This was a one and done concert.
I love After 7. They were great. Kevon still has it.
They did more songs of other groups than of their own songs!They did try to entertain a bit and the ending was like that of a kids book…the end!
I love the interaction with the crowd. They sung old and new jam. I had a good time. This was my Birthday weekend and it started with great music.

My first time at the Motor City Soundboard. I had a wonderful time. I REALLY enjoyed After 7, and Club Nouveau.
Lyfe was the best performance and he only had 15 minutes
Loved the sound, music the entire production was great. Bummed I didn’t buy After 7 apparel. Missed booth if there was one.
The venue was nice. After 7 was pure entertainment. They sounded great and kept the crowd engaged.
I am "IN LOVE!!!!!" with After7! and loved everything about their show ( although I was heartbroken when they didn't sing "No place like you" ,it's my favorite song... and hated that I missed the chance to be close to kevon Edmonds! the lead singer when they came off stage... other than that ,I'd pay to see them all over again! 💕

Awesome time . Plenty of hit songs . I’ll definitely do see them again. It was a small venue. So it was up close and personal.
Club Nouveau was a fantastic opening act--very energetic and sounded great. After 7 was superb-- played all the hits and were super entertaining. Soundboard is a great venue too.
O..M..G..After 7 IS A MUST SEE...once a fan your forever a fan....Smooth, Silky, Sassy, Sexy, and SWEET sounds....they genuinely TORE IT UP!!!!. I drove 3hrs to see these fellas and so well worth my GAS...lol A MUST SEE SHOW...PEACE, LOVE & TOMORROW CAN WAIT
Omg I put them as one of the must see group up there with mint condition they did some of there new music as well as the old they looked wonderful and they came to give us a show which they did not disappoint we enjoyed which it was longer
