After 7 on Tour

After 7 has been topping charts and electrifying stages with their distinctive R&B swagger for over three decades. Today, Kevon Edmonds, Keith Mitchell and Danny McClain serenade audiences with buttery smooth vocals and laid-back beats reminiscent of the old-school party vibes of the '90s. With four Top 10 R&B/hip-hop albums under their belts, the trio returns to the stage in 2022 for the aptly named Unfinished Business Tour. Don't miss out on tickets to catch performances of "Tomorrow Can Wait" or "The Day."

After 7 Live in Concert

After 7 was formed in 1988 by Indiana University students and future R&B stars Melvin Edmonds, Kevon Edmonds and Keith Mitchell. Brothers Melvin and Kevon were no strangers to fame as the older siblings of the legendary Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. With a whole lot of talent and a little help from their younger brother, the trio was able to land a deal with Virgin Records in 1989 to produce their self-titled debut album. The group quickly rose to stardom with "Heat of the Moment" reaching No. 5 on the Billboard R&B chart. Throughout the '80s and '90s, After 7's hot streak continued as their self-titled album After 7 went platinum in 1989 and Takin' My Time achieved gold status in 1992. The group split after 1995's Reflections to take a 20-year break from recording, but thankfully regrouped to tour in the mid-2000s. In 2016, After 7 hit the studio once again to release their fourth album Timeless. The group's lineup has changed over time, most notably after the death of original member Melvin Edmonds in 2019. However, the trio was restored when Danny McClain joined leading up to the release of Unfinished Business in 2021. After 7 is an NAACP Image Award recipient and have been nominated for a Grammy and American Music Award.

Total was ok. Kima was a little winded and didn't sound all that good. Pam did a good job with putting on a show. I felt cheated by Case because of the weather. I was disappointed with After 7 because they spend all the time singing other people songs and their new songs that nobody heard of nor cared. The best part about them was when they sung Ready or Not and by that time I was ready to go home. A long day and wasted trip.

A little disappointed with all the members of Total not being there and the weather causes Case and After 7 acts to be cut short.

    After 7 Phenomenal

by MelvinsWife on 6/20/17White Oak Amphitheatre at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

The opening acts were forgettable. After 7 never disappoints. A great representation of old school R&B. I must admit that I miss Melvin in the line up however, his son Jason is doing a great job. No one can replicate Melvin's voice as it blended so perfectly with Kevon's. Again, go see After 7 if you can. They are always on point!!!!!

    After 7, Total and Case

by SouthernGritsNC on 6/20/17White Oak Amphitheatre at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

Event was nice except for the rain and the show having to be suspended causing Case and After 7 to be cut short. I think that if it would have started on time then we would not have missed much.

We really enjoyed seeing After 7. The price was right, the venue was small, but we were able to see very well. I think this made for a great Valentine's weekend event.

    After 7 was amazing!!!

by cFaison on 10/24/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

This was the first time I have ever been to BB Kings and I thought the place was so romantic and the food was unbelievable. After 7 was great! They sound just like their recordings, even better and they are all so handsome, wish I could have took them home. I would recommend to all my friends and associates to see their show when they are in town. I had a wonderful evening and even got to meet them and take pictures.

"After "7" & Joe Live in Concert

by kcdances on 6/22/11Hilton hotel in Las Vegas Nevada - viva Las Vegas

Oh My God!!! These cats were unbelievable....A show you should never miss! Joe came out in a white Tux, with a black bow tie, and shades....The crowd went off....his singing was fantastic....this young man is so down to earth....and let's not forget his musicians, they were right on cue.....everything that night was subperb!! But to top off the night was my favorite group "AFTER 7"....Oldies but goodies....They sang their hearts out....the crowd was out of their seats the entire concert. They were sharp, clean and dressed to the nines....They sold out the Hilton that night...They are not afraid to mingle with the audience....they danced their way off the stage and onto the theatre aisles.....Security was ready, but not needed, Joe & After 7 together filled that entire theatre with lots of fun, energy & love.... Don't miss their next concert!!kc
